The blind pass

We will change it next week. Isidor will be upfront and we will start blasting it up to him at neck height.

That’s just as predictable and easy to defend.
There are obviously lessons from yesterday but we have to keep mixing it up, going long to by pass their midfielders and playing short to draw them out in the first place
 
Last night reminded me of the Russell Martin Southampton season where they fannied on at the back come hell or high water and got humped every game in very similar fashion. It's a stupid tactic to play for all but the best teams who have a full squad of ball playing defenders and elite defense midfielders who can hack doing it regularly without dropping a bollock, because when you do it's catastrophic as last night showed.
 
Lots of teams do it and with similar results. Our strength which got us so many great results was our defending and having a strong centre forward we can get the ball up to. That part wasn’t there last night.

They don’t like. It’s every game we give up possession deep in our own half with these ridiculous moments. Coaching staff and le bris aren’t watching a different game to me surely,
 
Not a problem mixing it up and trying to draw a team out by playing out from the back but last night in that first half there must have been at least half a dozen times we played a lazy, scuffed pass without even looking, straight into the Forest press.

Instead of reading the warning signs we just continued to do the same mistakes which then led to the 2nd goal, it was poor game management from both players and coach.
 
They pounced on such errors yesterday but we can’t say bin it without pondering how often we’ve benefited from it when it’s succeeded. We had a good season so must’ve been doing something right.

I think thats the plan....the opposition swarm for the ball and we play round them into space. Its worked very well at times. Its a higher risk tactic but has its rewards.

Played right into forests hands last night as they had a very high press which we should have exploited and got the ball upfield quickly … there was no plan B

No mate, we’ve benefited when we’ve gotten away with it, forest punished us and we simply couldn’t cope with there energy and desire, only one team wanted it the other was already on the beach,

So if something might’ve worked well to your advantage in 33 games you abandon the whole plan because it went wrong in the 34th?

It’s a good tactic to bring them on and create space, we just do it to suicidal levels at times like the mags away and last night. That pass by roefs was never ever on even if roefs had the passing of a world class centre mid 😂
