The atmosphere at home these days

12 months ago the players looked like they were loving their football, and we loved watching them - atmosphere was good. Now they look like miserable, zero smiles last night just frustration, and the crowd responds. It’s always been this way.

The crowd aren’t being paid 9m a year to cheer up the players and support the coach, the players and coach are being paid to give the crowd something to get excited about.

The crowd does have a role, but it’s earned, not demanded.
Someone posted before the match of the team arriving and all looking sick as fook, thought nowt of it till the match started and they all looked down, not knowing what the tactics were etc. I think he's sucked the life out of them already, they always looked happy etc under mowbray even when things went south.

Yeah.

Absolutely agree. Was fans fault the game was over.

Fuck. My. Life!
Clearly haven’t read the post, again. The knee jerk reaction of anyone daring to even potentially question the fans part in stuff is mental. The reaction to going 1-0 down last night was pathetic, at least give the lads on the pitch the support if you’re unhappy with everything else.

Atmosphere has been shite for years. Its been a steady decline season on season since the away fans were shifted out the SS to where we are now where it's hit rock bottom.

Can't blame the fans for not being able to stick to ball in the back of the net though.

Nope wrong. Theres been some amazing atmospheres over the last 18 months which have been better than before that. Last night was freezing, Beale in charge etc etc.. was always going to be shit

It's not a patch on what it used to be and is generally shite. Even the Derby wasn't that good compared to what it was in years gone by. I remember the first ever derby at the SoL when we drew 2-2 with them. Probably the best atmosphere I've ever been in. The place was absolutely electric. Still remember my ears ringing for a couple of days afterwards. Last week was a pale imitation of that. The buzz and the energy has gone from the stadium over the years.

I dislike Beale more with every match and interview that passes.

He is in serious danger of putting a massive spanner in the works of the development of some of the most promising players we have had for years.

This goes for Speakman too. It’s borderline negligence to have a squad so bereft of experienced players who can help the young uns.
There’s nothing borderline about it.

It’s totally and utterly negligent and to still have no recognised striker at this stage is unforgivable.

I seriously think we need to get beale and speakman out ASAP. Maybe cause a stir by going to our seats on 5 mins into game vs Stoke then get behind the lads . This way we make our feelings clear to owner but then we back the team as normal, could even lay a banner out in empty south stand stating beale and speakman out . They are 2 frauds not fit for Sunderland AFC
