The atmosphere at home these days

Slept on it, might as well get the best out of this situation.. so im gonna bet every week against us. Bookies rate us way to high, for the utter crap we call a performance.. 4 times money back we all knew it even without all or Hulls players missing. Get out of our club get out of our club 😭

Think the tempo of the game usually sets the atmosphere, it’s slow, laboured, too many touches and generally pretty dull. The atmosphere is the same

Clearly haven’t read it. It’s not about expecting better. It’s about getting behind the 11 on the pitch.
But you said I don’t try to support my team cos I don’t sit in that part of the ground? I didn’t go last night but where I sit in the north stand at games I always give the team a come on with about 20others around Me when we concede. I have never ever booed my team for conceding.
When the scum scored the other week I got up and tried to get people going but in this current day and age it’s all instant gratification required so people just didn’t get on board and wasn’t near my usual crowd

The south stand- time and time again people say it’s amazing- the noise however doesn’t travel to the north. We can see you moving but never hear it. It may well be loud among it.

Im not digging you out, but your post will be taken differently by every person reading it and will be taken as an insult by those who don’t sit on their arses nonstop in different parts of the ground.

You have offered zero idea how to improve it. It’s also hard to recommend something now as not sure where aways will be sitting but I’ll raise a possibility as it currently stands

Make the north the home end again! We can have the atmosphere bounce off aways above and below. Make the south stand the away end for cup games and bigger allocations should it be required. Make a section of the east or west stand just along from the north corners the genuine family zone. Are they perfect proposals no. But until the singing end is near the aways
Again it’ll be flat as a witches tit.

As you say the roar when we concede a few aside is gone because part of that passion was driven by drowning a celebration out. Noise meeting noise the south stand has never drowned and away end out once in my time in the north stand. It’s just not possible with the distance involved.

If they move the aways they have to find a way to pen the away supporters either side with those who want to be among the atmosphere.

Will also say the players have to give something before anything changes in terms of physical moves of seats etc and an inspirational coach after a goal would help not running to his seat or even if he maybe left his seat occasionally

I’m at the back of the south stand, usually get involved in the singing.

Last night I could barely motivate myself to go, let alone singing etc. They have sucked any enthusiasm out of me, and a lot of people around me.

The fans are the very, very least of the problems.
I was like this last night. Feel so deflated and absolutely no enthusiasm. Horrible feeling isn’t it

Absolutely brutal and has been for years. At the point where it’s an embarrassment. There’s a pocket full of people in the south stand and SWC who are bothered about creating any sort of atmosphere, then the pocket at the back of the south who just want to sing anti NUFC songs. 3/4 of the ground is silent except when there’s cause for a moan, and last night was one of the worst I can remember for that. Moaning, whinging at anything that went wrong.

Nearly everyone didn’t want Beale or now want him to go, me included, but as soon as we went 1-0 down and the crowd reacted the way it did it was game over. It didn’t help a single thing. People can argue it all they like but the one thing Beale is right about is getting behind the lads on the pitch. They’re a young side who need our backing at home and don’t get it.

Take your anger out on the owners and manager in the right ways, get a protest going, do whatever you want. But when there’s a team full of young, promising, talented lads giving it their all we absolutely have to get behind them.

Looking forward to all the ‘fans fault:lol::lol:‘ replies but the reality is we as fans need to get our home atmosphere sorted out. People have been mistaken for years that decent numbers through the door is the be all and end all and it isn’t. The 10,000 at home v Lincoln was louder than the vast majority of home games in recent memory. Baffles me looking around the ground at the thousands and thousands who literally turn up and make zero effort to get behind the team at all, whether they’re playing well at the time or you’re happy with the owners or any of that. We need to collectively start to look at ways to improve the atmosphere.
Yet the whole place was bouncing for the mags game so you’re talking bollocks.

Agreed. It’s a chicken and egg situation.
The fans aren’t blameless in it getting flat or toxic, but neither are the players and coaches. When it’s flat make a change in style or a sub just do something. I watched a home game on tv last night for the first time this season and the performance was disgusting. Me mate who I sat with said it was similar to Preston and hull away. Which both must of been extra shit too but you can’t pick it apart as easily as on the tv.

People have been saying that to me lately. The tempo of the games under Mowbray was quicker, higher press etc.. atmosphere was still shite
Mowbrays football last season and this were different. Last season was quick and exciting, this season it was pretty much like under Beale barring a couple of results. We’ve probably been sussed out by trans as well.

I was sat on the couch at ten past 6 thinking can I really be bothered to drive through there and watch that. Can’t believe i motivated myself to go. Got exactly what I expected

The atmosphere in English grounds in general is abysmal nowadays.

As for the fans turning. I wasn’t there (watched it on Sky) but I suspect the vast majority of it was aimed at the fraud in the dugout and the gimps who appointed him.

Yep, new stadiums and crowds that are made up nearly all of Season Ticket holders hasn't helped either IMO, has killed it, unless team doing really well. Oh and add shite tippy tappy football to the list.

I agree with the majority of what you said. My post was not aimed at digging people out in other areas of the ground, but the point is the chants largely start from the south and very rarely get started / carried on anywhere else, as you say maybe because it doesn’t travel.

I would 100% make the north stand a home end again, I’d move there tomorrow. Get the entire SWC and south fully together in the north stand and move the away fans back into the lower bowl close to the new home end. I’d be for it 100%.

Until we went 1 down aye

It was shite last season as well.

I’ve said elsewhere I was at a funeral, I could easily of got back but for the 1st time in a very long time I decided I’d watch it with a couple of cans by meself and have a more reasoned look at it. I regretted not going for about 10 minutes before it really settled into flat shite Beale ball.
I’ve seen above you mentioned the drop off from Mowbrays play to last season and I notice that too,but Mowbrays worst this season was still a lot more up tempo than this turgid bollocks. The lack of width is the first and foremost glaring departure. The lack of fullbacks pushing on is the second, Humes shot was from a corner I think which is the only reason he was advanced.
Our star player is Clarke and he’s nullified easier than ever before because he’s now 3v1 as the overlap takes no one away now as it’s not allowed to happen. So disappointing at the minute
