The Athletic: Brentford want Jobe

We'd be mad to sell him at this point.
Could be worth over £50m in a few year, we'll probably take £10m now.
Smalltime as fuck.

I think shoe horning him in regardless of form and no gradual introduction after starting about 7 games at Brum who struggled showed it was always about a quick progression for both sides.

I always thought he might be sold within 18 months if he done half well because there will be big clubs shitting theirselves if they miss out on another like his brother and given his brothers profile the spotlight is on Jobe too.
I think it just frustrates me that we would care more about that then trying to put our best 11 out when possible. Feels an easier thing if there was a better reason for it

Apparently an 18 year old in his first full season of senior football is apparently a liability and should be driven to whoever wants to sign him according to the self proclaimed best fans in the world
Aye pick that comment out when most are praising him

Not predictable at all

What’s he good at then?

What’s he good at? He’s so ponderous on the ball he loses possession more than anyone else in the team and not due to playing forward passes either
What is he good at?

18 years old and he’s physically strong, can hold up the ball very well and can find space in tight areas. Our second top goalscorer in his first full Championship season. He’s versatile as he’s played upfront, in the 10, in central midfield and even out wide. Speaks and plays well beyond his years.

You said he loses the ball more than anyone else in the team, I done a quick comparison matrix between him and Roberts and straight away it proves your talking absolute cack.

Roberts gave the ball away more times in 32 games than Bellingham did in 45.

Hes 18. Hasn't got a position yet! Hes got a lot of potential. Just needs to sharpen up in his head. Will be a very good player. Let him go or build around him? I'd keep but only if we recruit the right players.......another thread

It was the lads first full season in professional football.

What were people expecting from a 17 year old? For him to be bossing games in the championship?

Some people are clueless man. He had a decent first season with some ups and downs and will only develop and get much better. He clearly has talent.

I think it will come down to how much money is on the table. I would like to see him here for another season unless the money is daft.
