Judging by the decisions this series, yes![]()

Doubt it will matter in grand scheme of things but Clarke stiched him up there
Don't want this to be rained off here, want a result, things getting exciting
Given how England have been playing with the bat this series, and just in general for the last few years, I think 300 is already going to be tough to get, either by going for it or digging in. England could undoubtedly get that on a good day but it's probably reasonable to gamble they aren't going to have that on a fifth day pitch.
Clarke should go for it after tea, take the element of surprise, the pressure of it all and the highest second innings lead at OT. If someone wins this, whoever it is, will deserve it. If Aus win it though the pressure will be very much on England only one match after they looked home and dry.

There are parallels to Headingley 2001 when we scored over 300 to win on the final day (Butcher's finest hour). The difference there was we had nowt to lose, the series was gone.
Here, we know bat out tomorrow for a draw and we retain the Ashes. We might have very little interest in reaching the target set.
