4 big memorbale scores in 8 years rather proves my point. Amla managed nearly as many in our last series against them. When was the last time KP put two big scores together one after another?
You should list the amount of times he's got out in low double figures or less now.

This.
KP seems to get one (very) big score a series which makes his runs and average look very good. However, I do think he lacks heavy run scoring consistency.
Follow on saved. Piece of piss.![]()
That was off the top of my head: Big scores in the last three big series' and the biggest innings in the biggest match in the biggest modern day series.
India a couple of years ago he got a double hundred, at least one more hundred and a couple of 50's in a four Test series. He's going to finish his career with about 10,000 runs at about 50.00, the best bat we've had for at least 30 years, simple as that.
He's played about a hundred Tests I bet you could find dozens of failures, just as you could for Sachin or Lara.![]()
As I said earlier, and made quite clear-he's brilliant, no question, but with more of a brain he could have been one of the all time greats with statisics to match. As it is he's probably only going to be third of fourth best of his generation, maybe less. That's still obvosuly a big deal but he has unquestionaly fallen quite a bit from his potential if you ask me. Whereas the likes of Sachin or Lara, for all that they had weaknesses, didn't do that.
Take away that arrogance and you might lose something from the batting, you have to take him as he his.
The best English* bat for decades.
*South African
Well we swinging for it now![]()
If we could chip this lead down to near(ish) 100, that'll take loads of time out of the game.
We could even still win this bugger if the weather permits. :-D
Anderson needs to give Prior the strike and Prior needs to have a smack.
We're just in wasting overs mode by the look of it.
Negative but understandable I suppose.
Would be nice if we went for a bit more, but so long as it's a draw nothing's changed. Whereas if Australia win this, coming back from the thumping they've had and the medicority thus far, the seires is very much in the balance again more than 2-1 would suggest I would imagine. So it's boring but the stakes probably justify it.
