[the Ashes] first test Trent Bridge

Agar has played very well, but f***ing hell, he's still at number 11 and Finn's bowling has been pathetic.

We were easily in control by a long way and we've let them back in, typical England like:lol:

Bairstow might be a bit light, but Root is the man and has looked Test class since he walked into the side. If I was worried about a bat it would be Bell, who seems to have regressed to pre-2010 levels.

And out of Cook, KP and Trott I bet Trott is the one out nicking a wide one the least of the three. If anything, Trott is known for being an on-side player.

All in all, very strange post.

Root looks a good prospect, be but I would still have opened with Compton and left him down the order. Siddle said last night he was targeting Trott wide of the off stump, so not that strange really.

This kid for Australia will probably score a ton now and take 5 wickets :-|

Not good enough this. Should have kept the slips in place and bowled full. They should never have got a first innings lead. If these 100 odd runs cost us the game we've only got ourselves to blame.

Not f***ing happy about this. Aside from the fact hughes was out

We bowled like morons why did we change our plans and then stick to them when agar started hitting it round the park.

Still not found anyone who thought batting first was the correct decision...any takers?
behave man the pitch will be horrible to play on 4th.

We should have had them out for 120 odd but a bad decision and a stupid change in tactics has meant we have given ourselves a harder job than we should have had.
