There isn’t much that a club can do, it’s happened to loads of other players.

SAFC could have doubled his salary but then wasted that money if he didn’t break into the 1st team. It takes 2 parties to agree a contract. Dan could have signed whatever was on offer so that we got a fee. It works both ways.

I think mostly the lads a bit younger than them like Greenwood that we were selling off. Legend has it he had the chance too and didn't go - no idea if that's true.
