Thank you Dan Neil

We have, could have been a few million in the coffers for him, glad he's gone not good enough for the top flight and another wage off the bill, you could tell he didn't want to be here, spat his dummy out instead of trying to fight for his place, no heart.
I recommend you read what 09 has said about him this season, might change your mind

Why do you feel sorry for him he’s loved the dream n captained he’s boyhood club to promotion. He’s a good championship player so we’re letting him play at he’s level. What’s to feel sorry about?
Empathy … check it out in a dictionary
Good luck lad, sorry it ended this way. You along with the other 4 double promotion lads will always be legends long after you have hung up your boots.

Just had a quick skim through this thread. It’s not really a tribute if you quantify it.

He played for his boyhood club.
200 total appearances.
He captained it.
He lifted the Play-Off trophy at Wembley as captain.
He was a big part of the squad that took us from League 1 to the Premier League.

That is all that needs to be said.
No “back to his level” proviso shite.

Good luck Dan. Hope to see you back next season in the Prem with Ipswich.

Good luck to the lad. He lived the dream and captained SAFC to a win at Wembley and there are precious few players than can say that.

It’s a shame that for whatever reason he didn’t get chance to establish himself in the Prem with us, but I wish him nothing but the best for the future.
