Think you've not realised my point: the stadium and academy are what make us an attractive proposition in this league, not the fact we're running at a smaller loss than before

That's not quite what I was referring to. I wonder whether it's unusual how polarised we are given we're all privy to the same level of transparency.

Because of what I've just outlined

If it's not down to the infrastructure why aren't smaller clubs running at a profit getting bought up by this new lot

Of course it's a factor, so is the fan base but both have always been part of SAFC for a long time. Short made such a mess off the field he had to basically give it away.

How smart of SD and CM to spot the opportunity and take a risk on their ability to sort the finances out.

If you think the new lot would be buying us with the same disastrous off field performance as under Short then you're not just mad, you're willfully ignorant. Rumour has it the financial mess up the road is why they didn't buy the mags. The fact is no one would touch us and now they're on board.
