Personally I'd keep it but its belongs to Ellis Short does it not but then everything has a price. Plenty of other land over looking the river for hotels, restaurants etc..

Can’t imagine it being a deal breaker for the purchase of the club though. They’d be separate negotiations as they’re separate legal entities.

Short didn't mind wiping the debt. He lost a small fortune on SAFC and I can't think of many people with no connection to the area who would have chosen to give up a percentage of the money he earned over the years. He clearly had no intention of placing his personal financial interests above a football club and the community that surrounds it. I think you can be 100% confident that Ellis Short will not do anything that could scupper a bright future for SAFC.

There has been nothing reported anywhere to suggest its fizzling out. Admittedly it hasn’t been reported as being signed off either, but any reports are much more positive than negative
