Since I posted my ITK bits about Fuhrman, etc, I've received messages of various kinds from various people I'd not previously known. I've not posted much of the info unless it's been substantiated by someone unconnected with them, flight details, etc. . Through this I've 'met' some interesting people with much more knowledge than myself.
One of the aspects of this takeover that was mentioned to me, around 2 weeks ago, was the Hilton at the SOL. I was given a little info, about it, personally but not enough to confirm it or post. I then received a pm from a well known respected poster but a stranger to me. More interesting but still not enough to post. However, I've had a WhatsApp conversation with a friend, this morning, which has prompted me to post.
It's been mooted there are negotiations for the new owners to buy the Hilton while the club is at its lowest ebb. Its obvious the hotel's value would soar if we were in the PL and doing well. Short would then be able to ask top dollar whereas he may 'take a deal' pre-takeover announcement. But he won't just roll over especially as he took a big hit when he 'old the club'. If there's an impasse that could slow down the takeover/announcement.
I'm not sure if it's Short, or another 'company' that owns the Hilton but the Dell boys could recoup a great deal of investment, in the club, by taking ownership of the hotel now and seeing the value increase.
That tends to be how serious business people become so rich. Of course they can spend millions, on the football side, without it hurting them but if they can earn that money back, and then some, they'll see that as success. As long as we hang onto their coat tails we'll see the area, around the ground, brought into line. TBH the areas from the Wheatsheaf and the metro to the ground are disgraceful. Especially the back alley from the Deafy/Victory and the hot dog alley over the railway bridge.
If there are plans to improve it all it would benefit everyone.

So they're trying to buy the Hilton before the takeover is announced? This is gonna rumble on for ages isn't it.
