For what it's worth, I think it went to the EFL last week when you said it had, it passed, and they're just formulating staffing changes before announcing it. They're really in no rush to announce it. I'm sure it'll be announced within the next week or so, I just wish I wasn't so f***ing impatient as I keep second guessing everything.

In other words, I think Barnes knows fuck all.

To talk about it so openly suggests they are very confident. He’s hopefully just being like the majority of Sunderland fans, pessimistic.
 
I've just thunk and I reckon (for those of you who care) that we could end up with Adidas as our future kit supplier... if (when) we get taken over we will have massive new exposure (Netflix etx), and moving forward potentially we will perform better globally with respect to shirt sales and support. Adidas have the right to match any quote and maintain their supply - surely a global giant will want to be associated with the potential we will then have, all at a relatively low price point.

Correct, I was messaged from someone who was there and told me the time the due diligence papers, etc, arrived.

As you say there were no problems.

Respected people, on here, confirmed that.

Of course, should they be minted then a successful strategy can be quickened.

Sounds harsh on the chaps who are working very hard on behalf of the club and not a slant towards their business acumen, but football masterminds they're not.

Just because those on the pitch fell short doesn’t mean those off it haven’t spun the club in the opposite direction it was headed financially.

They made cuts to staff and have made the offices more efficient. That's great and it was needed, it is not what will put the club in the premiership though.

Without someone with a clear and intelligent plan having the authority to implement it throughout the club, it will require billions for this club to compete under the current "model" which completely contradicts what they can claim to have done well.

They're successful businessmen who are football fans, Id suggest we leave the business side to them and have someone who is more learned In the modern football approach to take on that side of the club.
