Takeover Rumours

Says there's no deal then openly talks about the plans for the club, stadium, investment, etc.

I don't believe a word of that tbh, if the deal hasn't been done the papers couldn't have gone to the EFL ...

... and they have.

It's a stalling tactic imo, if that's a 'wide ranging interview' there must be huge swathes I don't have access to.
Typical of the echo not to state the date of the interview with TD.

Whey it's supposedly been in their hands for a while now, and they're usually the last step before an announcement. And we've had no announcement soooo...

I don't know basically. Did someone not say the EFL are holding it up?
For all we know it may have been given the go ahead.

The model where we don’t spunk millions of pounds after millions of pounds unnecessarily & try to improve the income stream into the club.

This is partly why I’m not that excited by this. Regardless of the lessons we’ve learnt the hard way previously, there’ll be an element who will want us to hoy money about like there’s no tomorrow. The mission statement or whatever it is from the company say they look at steady sustainable growth, not overinflated prices & wages on players with fancy names.

But that element will be shouting loudest when we don’t win our next game.

I think you're too kind. This model has thrown money at the problem and come up looking as daft as those who came before them.

We don't need billionaires, we need football intelligence and strategy and an actual "model" that doesn't consist of having the biggest budget in the league only to spend it poorly.

Of course, should they be minted then a successful strategy can be quickened.

Sounds harsh on the chaps who are working very hard on behalf of the club and not a slant towards their business acumen, but football masterminds they're not.

Suggested as it's probable but nothing concrete as far as I am aware. Others have suggested they are working to make staff changes and strategy clear prior to announcing.

Barnes stated yesterday it was a problem with the EFL ... the club have just given an interview and didn't mention the EFL.

First thing I looked for.

It could easily be a copy & paste of what was said back in August ...

... same 3 billionaires plus Dell as a minority shareholder, exciting times, close to the deal being completed, announced soon, blah blah blah.
