Takeover Rumours

Love the people who are clearly excited about what's going on but try their hardest to downplay their own expectations.

"No chance of that happening man!!!"

Not checked this for a couple of days, can anyone sum up and confirm when it's actually getting announced, and also, have I actually missed anything substantial?

You said that earlier this week.. I set my alarm for 1.58am sat on the bog in the female position for a wee looking at my phone. Mrs banged on the door accusing me of watching Frankie, I tried to explain that Riv of the SMB who I don’t know from Adam has said we are being taken over by 4 billionaires and will be the richest club in the world. She said that’s great then asked why I was setting my alarm for 2am, I said cos Fletch who I don’t know from Adam reckons it’s to tie in with Wall-street. She shook her head in disbelief and has been funny with me since...

Either of those reasons would give her cause to think you were up to the same thing, in the bog, at 2 in the morning

No he didn’t that’s the problem

Ross on dobson

“I was really keen to bring him in, I really pushed to get him in the summer from early on.”

“It maybe looked as if we had different priorities and maybe the club felt we had to recruit in different areas first, but I kept chipping away at it. I was a bit of a pest about it to be honest”

Ross on Grigg

"When you look at which player has had the greatest goals-per-games ratio in this league in recent seasons, it makes it pretty obvious to identify your target - he was clearly our main target - he ticked every box in that sense.”

Ross on Willis

“Jordan is someone we identified a while ago, but we had to be patient because of the options he had due to his ability and age.”

Cant be arsed to go through the rest of them but the fact is every single signing is his.

He’s not getting the best out of anyone ,he’s killing the team .They Havnt got a clue what their roles are ,I agree with your comment about most of them being chod, but he signed the bastards !
They know there roles....now they have to up their game once he sends them out.

First game we had two wide players who couldn't knock a decent ball in with roughly 20 attempts and in last game our play broke down again on both flanks.

Takeover will happen and I hope folk are happy. But unless we hire a top manager I fear folk will still not be as happy as they should be on an announcement so big.

Well if he didn’t have any input at all into who’s coming into the club then he’s proved exactly what I suspected of him .Hes a chancer
How does that make him a chancer, comes into club with promises made by the owner then owner thinks he fancies playing a real life game of football manager with Hill and Coton advising him! So there you go Dilfy
Hes an awful manager who hasn't got the first clue how to set a team up. He doesn't get thr best out of the players he had and he certainly doesn't develop them or make players better.
Ask O’Nien if he agrees?

You’re just ignoring the fact he signs the players he wants then?

Happy with that. Though I doubt he would have spent so much on grigg.

Early last season signings I feel he had little involvement. Nor wonder he wanted more say.

Willis and Dobson were Jacks choices Grigg absolutely wasn’t!

I’m not sure premier league managers are a realistic proposition right now. For me, Poyet was the one who got away. He was sacked too soon and I think could have developed us with more time to recruit to his style. I think he’d be up for a return, anarl.
Why are people looking for someone to return when the opportunity could be there to start completely afresh ??
