That'll be the same Dyche Ross had in his pocket not so long ago . No thanks!
The law of averages state that Ross one day was going to have someone in his pocket (Wimbledon doesn’t count ).hes f***ing useless manThat'll be the same Dyche Ross had in his pocket not so long ago . No thanks!
Based on what though? Say what you see (like you used to), rather than trying to defend a now defunct position.
No chance but its not good news
Best thing I’ve read in this entire thread....a fan with some common sense at last!Alright. I think he came into a club in absolute shambles, in a league he's never managed in, as a young manager still learning his trade. He had to deal with the enormous wage discrepancies, and build a squad in a matter of weeks. The few PL leftovers aside it's a league one squad and I don't think last season was the free hit everyone else seemed to.
From April he failed, should have got top two and then should have won the play offs. I'm happy enough to give him a chance to improve on that, become more bold in his approach and push us on with some stability.
He's gotten the best out of McGeady. He got Cattermole playing well from a point of fans at preseason telling him to fuck off. One thing you can't say is the players aren't trying for him. When we go out and play our own game we look good and I like the neat passing style, plus his ability to mix it up when needed. He understands the game well and I think he is a lot more intelligent than the likes of Kenny Jacket or some of the other managers at this level I sometimes see posters saying we should go and get.
He has failings. Of course. I've always admitted as much. He should be more confident and play more attacking football, he should have sorted the defence out (I think Willis has helped). He needs to be more ruthless when it comes to the crunch and win the big games. More than that I think he needs to demonstrate he has a vision for the future in terms of adding young players who can develop with us as we progress....O'nien, Dobson, Willis, etc fit the bill.
I think he gets a rough time because some of our supporters can't handle how far we've fallen and think turning it around should be a foregone conclusion. I don't think it's as simple as that. If the takeover goes through as we all expect I'd be telling him "you've got until end of November to have us comfortably top and playing well".
I'm not saying he's definitely the answer but I think he's being written off too soon.
Some may scoff at Howe, Dyche etc but I'd think that some higher level managers may well be tempted to come here if they are told what the long term plans are for the club. It could be they've been told if you get us up to Premier League then you'll be a top wages and also get a good wedge to spend along with improving all facilities at club to help push for success in a few years. This on top of all the other frilly bits that Reiver has hinted at as it's not going to be a silent ownership by the looks of things![]()
Im not Ross's biggest fan as you will see from my previous posts. However, dependent on what the investors view is he has a small window of opportunity to redeem himself.Alright. To save me reading a full days posts can you tell me where the Dyche thing came from ?Some may scoff at Howe, Dyche etc but I'd think that some higher level managers may well be tempted to come here if they are told what the long term plans are for the club. Fuck him.Im not Ross's biggest fan as you will see from my previous posts. However, dependent on what the investors view is he has a small window of opportunity to redeem himself.
All he has to do is revert back to the tactics of the beginning of last season. Have some balls and attack teams! Football is a simple game and he has made it way too complicated over the last few months especially in L1.
If he doesnt in the next few games he could blow the biggest managerial opportunity he will ever have.
Aye it is do or die for him now. If he isn't top 2 by Xmas he'll know that himself. He's got nowt to lose now so may as well go for it as in attacking instead of defending.Im not Ross's biggest fan as you will see from my previous posts. Its him you been hinting at aint it comfortable here championship and premJust take Dyche as an example.
Will he ever earn top dollar at a top 10 club through his efforts at Burnley?
Will he ever take, and keep, Burnley in the top 10?
How exciting will circling the plughole ever be at Burnley?
Could he take a Sunderland team, he'd built and brought up, into the top 10?
Could he be tempted away from Burnley with money, a plan and a lifetime's supply of throat lozenges?
From April he failed, should have got top two and then should have won the play offs.
