Agreed, Dobson looks promising, but he's currently getting splinters in his arse, keeping the bench warm!
 
I’m not reading too much into that statement on ALS about JR staying.

They’re hardly likely to say ‘take over is still on and we’re firing loads of people’.

Ultimately they have to act within the law and that could hamper the speed of this.

Additionally, I doubt they’re penny pinching and trying to get the old ownership to take the financial hit for layoffs, which is what happened with Colman.

Could the club reading this thread have told them to say managers staying in order to dampen expectations .People going on about pep klopp wenger ,and then chris hughton rocks up ,just an idea like

You have to be a bit deranged to stick with your team as they suffer back to back relegations to drop down two divisions. In fact our attendances even went up!

If it were me taking the club on I wouldn't wait... The work and preparation to put things right or wanting to run the club a different way starts on day 1, just like CM & SD stated when they moved in. The changes start at that point, not in January so I'm sceptical to what RR and ALS are spouting about no manager change.. New owners will have a vision of where they want to go with the club and will want their own man soon as. Whoever the players are will get a lift from a new man in charge and they will lay the blueprint for what they see as the way forward as Man City done. if players can see a new positivity around the club that any new manager would bring, they will buy into it... The current management team consisting of Coton ,Hill ,Ross and SD, will change on day 1, with SD taking control of the overall running of the club. A new manager (if they are as high profile as some suggestion mentioned and their intentions are long term) would have control of all aspects of the footballing side of things from Scouting to tea ladies. I would suspect, when the January plans begin to be assessed, (they currently must have some plans made) formulated and put into action. the new owners will move fast to get us up soon as possible..

New owners always want to do things their way.

Hang on. It's not either now OR January. Maybe the club/ALS/RR press-poop that Ross is staying is just a way of calming speculation about the big appointments? Plenty of time to get them right, and frankly the Yanks coming in all-guns-blazing might not be the most effective way of building foundations.
I strongly suspect Ross won't be here long in any case, and his only slim chance of survival is to have us six points clear at the top by December. If not, a new man will have a few weeks to assess and improve the squad to make sure we go up. Next season is a different matter.
 
The old saying, “play it by ear”. Think that’s how they’ll handle Jack Ross. You can’t defend the bloke after some of the stuff put up against him in this thread, he’s shown himself to be limited.

The recruitment staff, along with scouting, needs major additions, with an overhaul in ambition and size.

Think it’s odd that our fanzines and fan blogs have such a defensive attitude towards our managers....
