I was thinking that mind. The announcement can be made, but will they see it as a chance to gain momentum if they make a big change (ie let Ross go). Do that, get a big(gish) name in and suddenly everyone will be buzzing and will get that first impression that these people mean business. Otherwise they might come in, bit excitement, but then nothing seems to have changed and if performances don't immediately improve they might see it as a missed opportunity.

From that point of view I can see the sense in getting rid, but equally they're good businessmen and maybe they won't see that as a good enough reason to make such a big change. Time will tell, it is the one way they can really put an immediate marker down though and I think they'll want to make a big first impression. We'll see!

Fair points, Guinness, la. I suspect much may depend on how much of a watching brief they've kept already. They might prefer to stay low key for a while until they decide the timing is right to step in big style. But, what am I thinking?! They're Yanks! They'll want to make an explosion, they'll want razzmatazz & dancing gals, they'll want Mom's apple pie & moonshine. Oh yes, indeedy, my malenky malchiks.

Aye, if they can get a fairly big name manager in who is going to energise the support and get us up for it then Ross can fuck off. To be fair he's had his chance, could have gone at the end of last season especially as he had us getting worse, and hasn't exactly set the world alight this season either, so he couldn't complain if he was axed

If manager was going it would be this weekend . New bloke would be better off having a week and I'm sure they would give him that.

But I don't think he is and I'm not asking questions.

Personally I hope he stays .
