Takeover Rumours

I've been desperate for it all to happen today and, up until this evening the people involved hoped it would.

They started prepping the media with hopeful snippets and, for a short time the local BBC and fanzines started to ramp things up.

Then it all calmed again and I started getting 'complications' warnings. I've kept my hopes up, because I'm knackered with it all, but have just had a message telling me to give it up and accept it'll be midweek, after the rugby and England game.

Fuck fuck fuck!

There's no way the takeover won't happen but there are just too many issues to address in a day. I've pushed to find out what the issues are but I'm not getting too much response. When I asked about a managerial change I got no response at all.

So it looks like a midweek announcement and the whole hysteria all over again ...
... FFS, I'm 63 years old man
As my 3 year old grandson would say “ don’t worry it will be all right” ! Will give me a chance to binge watch ‘stranger things ‘ and get stuck in up garden at the weekend! Thank you for your honesty and time

IF it's being delayed because of a managerial change it might be a case of making sure things are done properly in terms of being respectful to Ross. I doubt they'd have someone ready to sign up as soon as next week without us hearing.

I'm still convinced Ross will get a chance to kick on. Why keep SD and CM if you're just going to railroad them away from the bloke they've backed anyway?

Big 11am appointment at Rood Ashton near Bath tomorrow for me so I won't be on much.

Before I go I'll just add a bit of my own speciation to the thread that I've discussed with someone totally respected on here.

Let's assume the new owners are presented tomorrow and it's 'same manager, same coaches, same players and the first transfer window next year.

People will look in and think, "Yeah canny suits lads but what is there to get excited about?"

We may not get a grinning midget with a daft perm, jumping 60 feet out of a helicopter, but I can envisage a man a plan.
Dont go to your f***ing appointment man cancel the (unt !!

700 page milestone approaching, God help anyone looking at the thread for the first time.
At this point I'm 62 pages behind. By the time I get to my reply, I expect it to be higher again, even with the lateness of it (its 11.32pm). The thread is mental. I love it.

A long term, sustainable plan that's ruthlessly executed: that's what I think we need & that's what I think we'll get.

Great stamina, great effort & great information, delivered with no little style. Well done, marra, and thank you.

I've turned down 2 cracking opportunities this week and we haven't really worked since we parted company with Mr Tonna months ago.

This thing tomorrow is an American who wants a Manor house, he's bought, looking after.

He's only able to visit for a maximum of 3 months a year so it could be good ...

.... indoor pool anarl

I was thinking that mind. The announcement can be made, but will they see it as a chance to gain momentum if they make a big change (ie let Ross go). Do that, get a big(gish) name in and suddenly everyone will be buzzing and will get that first impression that these people mean business. Otherwise they might come in, bit excitement, but then nothing seems to have changed and if performances don't immediately improve they might see it as a missed opportunity.

From that point of view I can see the sense in getting rid, but equally they're good businessmen and maybe they won't see that as a good enough reason to make such a big change. Time will tell, it is the one way they can really put an immediate marker down though and I think they'll want to make a big first impression. We'll see!

Ross is going like.

He doesn't deserve another f***ing minute at this club. He should've been chased after Charlton final

P'boro was the final straw

Don't get me wrong, I won't be crying if he goes. Hell I left Rochdale telling my mate I wanted Ross to fuck off and we actually won that one! The performance was just awful, was at Peterborough as well and was fuming afterwards. I just think they've given him the start of the season and it probably hasn't, results-wise been bad enough to warrant being sacked. But aye, if he goes I'll get over it very quickly

I would probably agree IF the takeover wasn't happening. But this potentially changes everything
