Takeover Rumours

That's the thing Sunderland supporters can honestly admit that at this moment in time we are not a big club, and it was a long time ago since we were, but in the next 5 to 10 year we could well be. Newcastle supporters just can't admit the truth that it's been years since they were as well, yes they are in the premier league, but they are making up the numbers.

We are a big club - we have just not been a very successful big club - well - for a very long time now.

There is a good interview on Twitter with Owen and mcmanaman.

Owen explained that after his big hamstring injury he couldn’t make the same runs as before and was relying on his finishing. He’s quite honest to be fair, the biggest mugs were those who signed him.

I've seen bits of that interview. But is it just me making things up or as he not said in the past he didnt push himself to get back from injury at the mags? I know he said he was injured there and wasnt down about it where every other time in his career he was gutted when he was injured.

No excuse for not given a fuck.

Our front 3 will be Mbappe, Bale and Alaba because Ross will still have to play some poor fucker out of position.
On a side note, if the new owners (when it happened) decided to have a base elsewhere in the country, how many would be bothered if it meant that we could attract better players without having to pay a huge premium on top to get them up here?

As we know 'big' players would need far bigger wages to come up here though even huge wages won't be enough for some players. It's understandable now given they're multi millionaire's within a season so offering more money to a multi millionaire often won't work, nor would it be financially viable if we have to stick within FFP.

Given they may have family etc (mainly WAGS), they'd obviously prefer to live in the more affluent areas of the country and aye we've got some nice scenery etc but there's no denying it's not on a level compared to other areas. The players would still come up here for a few days for the home matches but the away matches could also potentially mean less travelling.

Do you reckon the Dell boys would do something like this? Aye I know people will say if they don't want to come up here so fuck them but what exactly would be the difference between someone who'd play for the inflated wages rather than someone who'd play for less money and commute instead? Who is the more commited player to the club out of just these 2 players?

I would be completely against it. Don't think it needs any more justification than that tbh.

If Jack Ross loses his job over the weekend it pretty much confirms the takeover is 100% happening.
In my no nowt head in the sand red n white tinted happy clapper glasses opinion.
Honestly cant see Ross loosing the job at all yet imo. Think Donald and methven has too much faith in him and reckon this will have been mentioned to the new owners. I'd imagine it may upset a few players if Ross were to be sacked after loosing only 1 game so far this season and sont think they'd wanna risk it qith the window being closed now. We dont have enough quality to not play a few unhappy key players either. 😕
