I knew a lad lived down there was a massive Sunderland fan, even though his dad was a mag. Apparently his Uncle was from Jarrow and he kept asking the kid who he supported, when the kid answered Newcastle he used to give him a little dig and point out he should be supporting Sunderland - eventually he started saying Sunderland and ended up a proper fan (pavlovian).

It could however be the best time to do it disruption wise as any closures of parts of the ground wouldn’t affect us as we could still close parts and then reopen the concourse. I thought extending the sol was crazy talk, however If they’re as savvy as they’re reported to be then they aren’t going to just want it for football. With the development opportunities surrounding the site it’s not hard to see why they came sniffing round. Having the biggest arena in the region and facilities in the immediate area to cater for large numbers of visitors, it should make us first choice for massive events. That rugby thing in mag land allegedly made 20 odd million for the local economy, we need to be stealing this type of shit from the fuckers :lol:
