Takeover Rumours

Think they would rather not but immediate returns on their money wont be something these types will worry about. The decks will be cleared and they will attract a much better quality player. At the moment we are clogging up squad with fillers.Might be over thinking this like, still pissed off with cost of pboro trip ha
How many of the ‘filler cloggers’ have a contract greater than 12 months?

Even if we do have some fillers that can’t be shifted they will earn relative peanuts and won’t drain the $50bn budget too much.

Unbelievable that people read his posts and thought he had something to do with the club. That said given the state of the place maybe he does

Looking at his posts, sometimes he seemed to have a lot of inside info. Think that was what led people to think he was connected with the club in some way. He was a master of appearing to be thick, but then revealing an intelligent remark....the spelling was a ruse,no doubt.

That’s just because he stated opinions as fact and filled in the blanks himself.

I can understand people being anxious about when and therefore if the takeover is to take place.

We all want it done sooner as opposed to later.

Apart from things that will have to be done, remember that the EFL were hauled over the coals last week about Bury and Bolton.

Every takeover now will be triple checked and more investigations will be done to try to ensure the owner behaviour / intent will be the same good intentions in 2 / 3 years time as it is on the day of application.

last week agents / players fees / players wages as well as club fees to agents were all put to blame for the demise of Bury as well as owners alleged intentions.

Since we are the first club going through a takerover since last week, I suspect everything will be put though the microscope to ensure no blame can be levelled at the EFL or used against the EFL officials

Whilst Reiver has been excellent, giving us hope, does anyone know any timescales? We could all do with some good news
Nowt's happening on the takeover front today, so I'm going to indulge in some idle speculation about timescales. I know many are suicidal over the result at the weekend (yes, we had a properly shitty second half) but we are one point from the automatic places, so fuckin' hang on in there.
We have signed all the players we're going to get in this window, unless a cheap/free winger turns up in the next hour.
The big deal will be announced later this week, when the new lads will hopefully outline their perspective on the future of the team, the club, the surrounding area and the City as a whole.
The 'future of the club' will include an overhaul of scouting and transfer policy, and it can't come soon enough.
SD will stand beside Ross unless the results make our essential promotion this year look unlikely, then he will be dumped. If we are in the promotion slots in January, we might buy a couple of Champo standard players for him to ensure promotion and provide some intregration with the young'uns in the squad who are coming on the journey.
Automatic promotion this year is vital to our momentum and the STID story.
As the season comes to a head, we will know if Ross is going to be the man to manage us next year. Unless we are odds-on by Easter, a hired-gun will be brought in. Even if promoted, he might not be the man for the Champo, but he will be out of contract and with League One experience on his CV, so bye and thanks for all the herring. Same for most of the playing squad.
I honestly can't see a scenario where we have to put up with this mediocre shite for much longer, and I've watched plenty of mediocre shite in my six decades of watching the lads.
Ha'way ya bassas!

Seemed to have more knowledge than he let on oftentimes....do you think?

He was very wrong quite often. Joining the dots on available information, and extrapolating isn't that hard - I have to do it all the time looking at our and others' accounts. But unless you're a bit circumspect, you can come a cropper. And he wasn't circumspect.

If the new owners want Ross dumped on the advice they've been getting, he'll be dumped. In fact, I'd say the lack of activity today makes that more likely.

Announcing we're filthy rich would've hampered us even more before the window shuts surely. Granted we've not done a lot anyway, but prices quoted would've been even higher.

Makes sense to announce it later this week hopefully. Give the place a lift again and plenty to be cheerful and hopeful about before the next game.
