And hopefully put and end to Mags from Durham/Chester/W'ton/Bishop calling themselves Geordies because they watch NUFC. Dictionary definition of a Geordie is a person from Tyneside, not a Newcastle supporter. Large areas of Tyneside have a strong SAFC support.
Prefer the Scott Dobson definition - born within a mile of the Tyne from the mouth as far west as Wylam.

Don't forget, if you're a foreigner who plays for Newcastle, and they like you, then you're a lifetime adopted Geordie whether you like it or not ...

... that banner man, 'Wor Pav'

John Hall’s fault mate.

It’s like West Ham coining the term ‘cockney’ to mean someone that supports the hammers.

I’m Sunderland born and bred but know loads of Geordies that support SAFC. The term Geordie has nothing at all to do with football.
The same with Scouser. The amount of times I heard non-Liverpudlians refer to themselves as Scousers because they support Liverpool is ridiculous!

I understand the sentiment marra. These things happen. We can't let it affect our good fortune. I think it would have been bad taste to announce it on the day of Bury's expulsion, but life goes on.
It's a bit like not shagging your wife because your best mate's lass has just left him.
Is it not more like announcing you’re gonna shag your wife minutes after he has just told you his lass has broke up with him?

I am ex Military if that's what you're asking, and yes, I may have worked at a little camp affectionately known as Stirling Lines at some point in my career... As 'Dell' Boy would say, he who dares Rodney, he who dares ;)
😂 Aye righto. What colour's the boathouse at Hereford Gatesy?
