We just have to agree to disagree. I'm sure there is people in the media who like us and people who don't.
I'm not convinced that the media in general hate us.
That's not what I said.

Yes, I’ve noticed. Sarky fucker.
We’re still one of the two big clubs in the north east, so the difference in reporting between SAFC and nufc in the local media IS something that should be highlighted.
There was nothing to report on the last few possible takeovers at the mags. That didn’t stop them enthusiastically reporting on it.
Perhaps it will once this takeover goes through, especially as we will be classed as one of the wealthiest football clubs in the world, so to speak
Well it's about time that changed, back in time before Keegan and co they never equated Geordie's solely with mags.
With this takeover hopefully things will move back again
They’ll have no choice to be honest mate. If things go well, I’m looking forward to watching/reading the bitter mags in the media having to report on us through gritted teeth.
And the awful term 'mackem' wasn't used.Geordies here, Geordies there,
Geordies every f***ing where.
Song during the 1973 cup run and sung with pride at Wembley.
And hopefully put and end to Mags from Durham/Chester/W'ton/Bishop calling themselves Geordies because they watch NUFC. Dictionary definition of a Geordie is a person from Tyneside, not a Newcastle supporter. Large areas of Tyneside have a strong SAFC support.as do i ... im from shields therefore geordie
They were doing match reports on Benitez in China until they realised he'd made fools of them all![]()

the only way that will happen is to win something significant and for ashley to keep owning themAnd hopefully put and end to Mags from Durham/Chester/W'ton/Bishop calling themselves Geordies because they watch NUFC. The Keegan era changed everything in the area, and for the worseAs an exile who relied on the local media for years I have to say I felt let down by them and eventually lost faith.
There's a massive Newcastle bias and, as you say, the known Mags in the media will be thinking of snide ways to report this.
Sad really, there was a time when things were much fairer and people used to have pride in the whole of the North East ...
... not just their own particular interest.
The Keegan era changed everything in the area, and for the worse
Thank God for that.Banned
