If It were my Money, I'd not touch any "Professional" football club with a barge pole. I would, however, make provision for local level football infrastructure and playing fields. Mostly, my opinion of the hierarchy of the FA, FiFa,UEFA,EPL, EFL , Clubs, Managers, and the greedy f***ing so called "Professional Footballers" is to take them all with suspicion, mistrust and disdainYep i get but if you were rich what would be your plans.Im sure they will tell us as soon as they take over,or as ive said on another post tell not to bother
I thought the club owned the scrap yard next to ALS. Always thought this would be a cracking fan zone. May cost a fortune to do the building up but loads of land next to it to build something purpose built. The obvious area ripe for redevelopment is between the North Stand and the river. The other obvious bit to buy is the old Lookers garage next to the car park. Perfect spot for a permanent covered fan zone.
When you are as rich as Mr Dell you can afford your own investment managers (family office). They do what they are told. The way I see it (rightly or wrongly ) is this MSD company are there to manage Michael Saul Dell's wealth and these 3 blokes that come over on Saturday work for /directors of MSD.?
How people can say dell isn't involved has me scratching my head like .
trust me mate if ya starving, youll like fish
exactly hes a multi billionaire success story, his ego will see him very involved
Maybe not but when they paid him as much as they did they left themselves open to this sort of thing, he's basically been retired since he signed the contract, they'd have been far better doing what they're doing now with a long term plan.Nobody in their right mind would have expected Sanchez to be so shit for them. That's football, like you say. I just can't believe someone would do their upmost to try and poo poo anyone who's seeing the potential in this deal.
In a business mode, I go for slow growth and sustainability and more importantly and above all recruit top level people who can run a business, negotiate, and plan for the future development, making and taking decisions to be successful moving forward..Yep i get but if you were rich what would be your plans.Im sure they will tell us as soon as they take over,or as ive said on another post tell not to bother
There probably won't be anything visible before that. If things are as advanced as I've been led to believe it's a matter of getting the final contract drafted and signed off, and the new owners getting EFL approval (which should be a formality given their profiles). All that will happen behind closed doors.
Cheers. Sounds like it’s happening thenThere probably won't be anything visible before that. You'll find, if you do a little digging, these past two years he has taken a back seat on most MSD ventures.trust me mate if ya starving, youll like fish

So we’ll still be looking at a couple of weeks at least?

Spot on marra,i think we are fighting a losing battle against the depressivesAnd they have to the current owners.
And will in time to us but through SD more than likely.
Corporate finance doesn't recognise bank holidays, nor that day and night are different things, to be fair. They seem to have a strange belief that a deal is only valid if signed at 4.30am after a massive allnighter. Bury alone will make sure they're working today. Giving our deal clearance should be a bit of light relief compared to that.
Infrastructure expenditure isn’t inc in ffp iirc. Can I just be perfectly clear on this please?
There’s an impending takeover by a wealthy consortium who won’t be able to spend much more money than we’re currently spending due to the ffp rules that limit that sort of thing? If it happens.
That’s even if their prospective takeover is predicated on the principle that they’re actually willing to spend a lot of money over and above whatever they pay to the owners (within the rules) ... but assuming they do, with the intent of investing in a company that, via promotions to the higher leagues, will be in a position to earn more... but probably only if they spend more once and if we get there.
Anyway. The current owners will still ‘run’ the club. The players will still be the same - at least till January... and possibly beyond because of ffp etc etc. And the manager, coaching staff and scouting set up and the tactics and all that will still be the same.
Stewart Donald will be wealthier.
Is that the full position?
Help me out here cuz this is a genuine question. Pre ffp rules big investment could buy you a whole new team overnight (a la Man City it Chelsea) but that’s not possible anymore. So what, if any, difference will the takeover, if it happens, make to the performance on the pitch and increase the likelihood of promotion. Is it just that we’ll be in a better position to compete if and when we are promoted? Or will it only impact when we’re in the position of earning big via tv money in the premiership when the balance between earnings and spending is more equitable?
... and he'll sit beside the river all day drinking cans?Give a man a fish and he’ll eat that day. Whereas give a man a fishing rod.....
Well i can answer that hardly any in the immediate future. So do you think we should tell them not to bother then.
Infrastructure expenditure isn’t inc in ffp iirc.
Staff, academy, sol etc which means the cash we spend on that atm could be channeled into player wages n transfer fees if the new regime are hoying money in its place. That’s the only immediate benefit I could see unless the 15,000 from the Reidy era suddenly come back enmasse. “The Dell Stadium Of Light” may also give JR a bit more folding stuff to play with.
The world of corporate finance still awash with Macho bullshit....
Exciting times ahead got to give praise to sd and cm , I'll be the first to hold my hands up I got it wrong about them
