COLLECTIVELY ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL FOOTBALL OWNERSHIPS IN THE WORLD.Let that sink in
Not to go too serious, but again we have to thank Ellis Short for this. In wiping the debt, he made us a serious value proposition. To get a club of our standing, largely debt free, at League One prices made us very attractive - much more so than the Mags. The current owners have done very well to wait for the best bid, but it was inevitable there'd be interest. If we'd still had millions of pounds of debt, nobody would be touching us.
Bore off ya miserable bastardThe last American investor ... that ended well. They don’t understand the English football industry at all.
So Donald and Charlie will have a difficult job to keep them right.
We didnt have leroy sane and that.playing for us then though
It’ll pay off for themThe last American investor ... that ended well. They don’t understand the English football industry at all.

hope Sky have got their sauces(!) right and its not Bury they are taking overWe are on the yellow ticker breaking news.
Get round and tell them you represent the RTG and you want a chat with the owner.Just arrived in Manhattan for weekend break. MSD are 5 mins walk from here![]()

when the fans actually sell out regualrly..even in the prem that didnt happen and the gates were falltterred by thousand os of freebies..
Dell and Rodders taking over? This time next year we will be billionaires ....
True, but fat Mike’s money was mainly to sort out the debt left by previous owners. Wouldn’t object to seeing hundreds of millions being thrown around, but I’d be quite happy just to see us competing in the Premiership as a well ran, sustainable club.fat mike t hundreds of millions in though...we dont know if dell will..
In no way was this a sly dig . I’m congratulating them .Sly digs .... some people just can’t help themselves.
The only one out of the four that's not an actual billionaire is John Phelan (the one on the far left) however he runs MSD's investment vehicle and again is one of the top 200 art collectors in the world so that suggests he still has serious financial clout. Is he? These guys won't accept failure but also can afford it so less pressure. The darkest sky is before the dawn. I just looked at SSN and was buzzing, then I looked to the right and my spirits literally dropped as a picture of Steve Bruce and 'news conference' was there.....talk about depressing. "Well, wor can role wor sleeves up and beat Spurs, wuh not bothad aboot the rich mackems like'.
so we had 10 years in he prem..mostly shit ones aye..and couldnt sell out regualrly? We’ve been down trodden for quite a while now, attendance at the first home game suggests that we are still clinging onto some hope of a bit success.
Best football we’ve played was the Reid years, I’m sure there were plenty sell outs then.
Bring some excitement and a bit of hope and the fans will return.
We’ve had that much negative shite associated with us that we have a load of supporters that have a glass half empty, can’t blame them really.
And yet here you are on a Sunderland forum. Nearly as obsessed as those sillyfuckers up the road.Yeah I'm bitter & twisted Einstein - How I wish I was going to Rochdale on a Tuesday night to watch a bunch of clobbers & journeymen, none of whom I've ever heard of before.
