My mates spoke to him in Amsterdam airport a few years ago and he told them at that time The Sunderland job was a “poisoned chalice”.I met him once (sat opposite him on a train back from London) and he was intelligent, polite, interesting and funny.
I wouldn’t fancy him as a manager now - I think the game has moved on - but he’s been involved at top end of football for all of his career and I’d expect he knows a damn sight more than the average person about running a successful team.
all very good news for us I take it not asking for details
Yes mate.Could it be today then we reckon?

My mate knows Richard Hill and he told him we have enough right backs as it is.Is it just coincidence that Barcelona are letting Messi leave and he can negotiate a new contract with any club in January? Come on Dell boy make it happen what better way to catapult our name into the stratosphere! You know it makes sense...![]()

Met him at my Bairns nursery a few years ago. A canny very normal bloke. Think football management has passed him by. He was supposed to be a decent coach. At this point in his career he could be a good head in the board room. The last time we had a Yank it was a lack of footballing men that was a problem.Blokes a clown, hope he’s nowhere near any of this
I doPersonally I don't know anyone who gives a shit about International qualifiers .
