I wouldn’t fancy him as a manager now - I think the game has moved on - but he’s been involved at top end of football for all of his career and I’d expect he knows a damn sight more than the average person about running a successful team.

My mates spoke to him in Amsterdam airport a few years ago and he told them at that time The Sunderland job was a “poisoned chalice”.
 
Dont think they'll be flying back home and back again mid week so possibly.

Unless they fancy hanging around a few days smashing shit rocks down Ryhope beach.

Wouldn't want Mclaren near our club football wise but I regard him more than the bung men fat Sam and twitchy face.
