You're right. This doesn't sound like the chancer that bought Bury and (will likely) put them out of a club today. These guys sound serious, and it will be a massive boost for the club. And all Kudos to SD etc - they've done this. Gerrin. Let's hope it's good news. There will still be some, in my opinion, this is a non starter if we weren’t on a much more financial even keel. SD said they wouldn’t sell to just anyone, not sure anyone can argue that these are just anyone
Stick to screaming at shops and punching equines pal
Still need to abide by the league financial restrictions though ?
If there is a negative spin put on it then finally those posters can be outed as simply not right in the head and put on everyones ignore list.Elements of this board will be gutted if this goes through mind.
Although caution is still required, it will be interesting to see how a negative spin can be put on the news.
Btw, well done to SD and CM.
Like I said much earlier in this thread it still needs to be ran well and investment in the scouting and academy are the obvious way forward, foundations that will serve us well for years to come and this wealth should give us that, I would hate to think of all the agents pricking up their ears at this news as a way to line their pockets!
If this doesn’t happen do we all go to PC World for a bit shouting?
Me too, there’s always that little devil on me shoulder when it comes to anything positive about Sunderland, but I can’t help getting carried away with this news. You're right. Full of doubts but won't get much work done today due to this rumour.
What moment? Nothings happened yet apart from a few sketchy reports from the same sources that had already announced Mark Campbell as the same said investor
I personally would like SD to stay and run the club - I think he's doing a great job tbh.Listened to Donalds latest podcast yesterday, really savvy and wont have the piss took out of him by players/agents or anyone.
Id like this lot to entrust him to run the show. Unlike many Id give Ross more time too. Stability required.
f***ing please. Please please please.
Yeah I get that completely. Just making the point that like Campbell came with park or like wolves owners came with mendes I’d be much happier if there were footballing people involved. That said, Donald staying on definitely helps in this regard.I respect your caution but but these guys are on a different scale.
Campbell turned and bought Falkirk who I honestly still don't see winning the SPL in my lifetime, with or without Park.
This is marvelous news.
I'm in the office smiling my head off, while posting on hereMe too, there’s always that little devil on me shoulder when it comes to anything positive about Sunderland, but I can’t help getting carried away with this news.
I think it’s acknowledged by most, including him according to SD, is that one of Ellis Shorts biggest failures was that, after Niall Quinn, he didn’t have football people involved.I personally would like SD to stay and run the club - I think he's doing a great job tbh.
This case gazillion trillion. Like many of you, I’ve been going for decades and love the club too much.
We deserve something like this we really do, fuck me it sounds orgasmic
