You're right. This doesn't sound like the chancer that bought Bury and (will likely) put them out of a club today. These guys sound serious, and it will be a massive boost for the club. And all Kudos to SD etc - they've done this. Gerrin. Let's hope it's good news.

If there is a negative spin put on it then finally those posters can be outed as simply not right in the head and put on everyones ignore list.

Listened to Donalds latest podcast yesterday, really savvy and wont have the piss took out of him by players/agents or anyone.
Id like this lot to entrust him to run the show. Unlike many Id give Ross more time too. Stability required.

Me too, there’s always that little devil on me shoulder when it comes to anything positive about Sunderland, but I can’t help getting carried away with this news.

Do you have the same outlook on life in general mate or is your negativity reserved for all things SAFC?

Obviously people shouldn’t be getting carried away but surely you can see that there may just be something positive on the horizon here.

Yeah I get that completely. Just making the point that like Campbell came with park or like wolves owners came with mendes I’d be much happier if there were footballing people involved. That said, Donald staying on definitely helps in this regard.

I think it’s acknowledged by most,including him according to SD, is that one of Ellis Shorts biggest failures was that, after Niall Quinn, he didn’t have football people involved.
Whatever anyone thinks of SD he loves football, it would be ideal for me
