Without knowing too much of the bollocks regarding financials but you have to think of our position being an attractive one. Majority of other clubs above us are all riddled with debt where we appear to be more or less free of any of it.

It’s not about who the club is. It’s the business potential, they aren’t investing in us as supporters. Simply business. You wouldn’t buy shares in a company at the top of its game as there will be hardly any gain. This club will mean nothing to them apart from getting at least 10x their invested outlay back when/if we make it to the premier league.

Until we get under the skin!

Plus really getting us at the basement price because we’re realistically not going to end up any lower.

My old mate (born and raised in Cleadon and a big Sunderland supporter) is Chief Technology Officer for Dell, and was with Michael Dell yesterday. Nothing was mentioned but then again there would be no reason to if my mate didnt ask about it. He did say that those as a group are quite formidable and build huge franchises and spend big to make them happen. He said he'll ask Michael next time he sees him.

"MSD Capital has several investment teams who make concentrated and opportunistic investments with a focus on mispriced opportunities based on a deep understanding of each investment's earnings potential over time.
A core feature of each team is to use the flexible and longer term nature of its capital base to find investment opportunities which fewer competitors can feasibly pursue.
Each team seeks out opportunities where it can develop a deep understanding of the future cash flows, understand and quantify the risks and acquire at valuations below the intrinsic value."

It seems as though we may fit the criteria admirably.
