The plane that landed from kerry airport about mid day today, do we know for sure that they were not on board?

Reason i ask is that Dell have seven factories for making laptops in the world and the only one in europe is in limerick, one hour drive from kerry.

Oh normally they do without doubt. I get the impression not this time though. They've been reactive to what's been said on here when tweeting stuff, and then appeared as surprised as us when the BBC claimed it wouldn't be done until next week.

I think they've definitely been getting info this time. Earlier today both RR and ALS (and RAWA iirc) all posted things suggesting something had happened within a couple of minutes of each other. I'd imagine at that point they were on for a Friday announcement, and it was all signed off. It's obviously still all agreed and will 100% happen, but whatever the issue is that's preventing them from finalising a date/ time for the announcement presumably means Donald et al don't know for certain when it'll be, so RR and the likes won't be getting fed info either

Hmm. They both reported the initial news before the local press, almost in tandem. I think the fact they quiet is cos they are being told to hold back until prompted

Maybe they have filmed all the scarf pics and club interviews ready to release when they're ready instead if coming back next week?

Wildly speculative all of that to be fair. They've not broke any new information at all, they were just echoing what was being discussed as gospel all morning in here and as fans getting excited as the rest of us. As said, Roker Report were as in the dark as us when the BBC claimed it wouldn't be this week. I get that he does use both outlets as mouth pieces and slips them transfer scoops etc but this is a whole different ball game, it's a business deal worth tens of millions and I can't imagine he'd be relaying information for it to be plastered on Twitter.

does anyone even know what the reg of the plane is? he sold the Dreamliner he had, its now used by a Chinese airline and they're also selling it.

I get where your coming from but would you rather have 'potential' money grabbers playing for us or players who aren't willing to shift their families but still willing to travel up here every other game without inflated wages? How many SAFC players would you expect to live in Sunderland itself if we started getting some decent players in? How many live in Sunderland now and how many socialise with fans outside of the game? Aye they do SAFC stuff for the community now and then but couldn't they also do this regardless of where they actually live.

Plus surely we could only pay the inflated wages to a few players given the wages to revenue they'll be working within? Look at the Mags, they had to pay Owen £120,000 a week back in 2005 to come to them. If we can't pay the wages for young but decent players to come up here then will we not just end up getting journeymen looking for a final payday?
I don't care if any of them live in Sunderland itself. If they can't be bothered to move to the area and be available for squad training then they can fuck off and play for somebody else. The north east is hardlys Mogadishu ffs and the mere suggestion of putting up with this nonsense would see me cut all ties with the club. Thankfully it'll never see the light of day tho.

Absolutely baffles me that people would even contemplate this shit tbh.

All 3 outlets posting at the same time was obviously in response to information from the club, that's not wild speculation
