We will never get t tourist element at Sunderland so a theme park is a questionable idea. Bars, pubs, restaurants, hotels, apartments n that is what that area needs like. Can't imagine my mates asking if i wanna go on a ride before the big game.

Dell have a huge factpry in ireland..its a tax breaks thing...

dell the company has nowt to do with sunderland..michael dell doesnt own dell...and the people that do own dell arent buying sunderland..

Well thank you for your comments I well understand what you say, BUT this reply was a response to a previous post who stated the hope of such an event happening which you must have missed perhaps? Even if DELL were involved it wouldn’t happen for the basic reasons I stated

will they? abranchich won the champs league at chslea..cant find a buyer to give him his money back..
but still won the europa league and qualified for the champions league through their league position. In reality most clubs are for sale if the price us right. Abramovich isn't desperate to sell

he probably isnt desperate to sell....but he wont be putting cash in...and if he wants his money back its about £3bn..which he won get from anyone..

point is it wouldnt be if we won all the things chelsea have won,.it would cost hundreds of millions,...potentially..and getting that back means it wouldnt be chepaer..

Depends how we go about our "rise to power". Sure, if we just splash out over the odds fees for players in their late primes of their careers that would have lower sell-on value then you're completely correct, but maybe we'll go the route of buying younger players who are being touted as future megastars, use them until they're in their primes and then sell them for a profit? We'd still need the investors to chuck money in for the players to get us to that point but in theory they might be able to turn a profit at the end of the day.

The EU have said that if Boris doesn't cough up the agreed terminal payment, it will be a cold day in hell before they agree a deal with us, as we'd be seen to have been in bad faith.

Yes GOM and add to that there will be no USA Trade agreement ratified in The US Congress if a No Deal Exit from the EU has implications changing the current status at the Irish Border, no matter what Boris and his mate Donald say or think!

This thread has turned ridiculous. So now the new owners are building a theme park in sheapfolds?

and building a foot bridge across the Wear. and wallpapering the executive boxes with £50 notes. winning the champions league in the next 5 years seems reasonably achievable compared to their other ambitions

I don't particularly...

I do care about the influx of arseholes that will sign up to this board as a result and stink this place out even more than it does already.

It will desperation and easy to spot, if so. Not even worth worrying about - plus these types of wet quilts sign up anyhow.

not nitpicking or anything, like many been through hurricane of shit that is safc so many times im just mystified why us.
since the news broke i cant escape the big question of what they stand to gain...
my only goal for safc is to see us play well, winning stuff being a 'big' club and that shite is like me hoping that 99 of the worlds hottest women want to kidnap me for a life of lust... highly unlikely.
but playing well ... consistently mission: possible

In most circumstances, the only way to end up with a small fortune out of buying a football club is to start with a big fortune.

Making more money will be the last thing on the minds of these people imo.

really? most premier league clubs are making a nice profit now...the generation of amercains buying clubs now are doing it for profit...

To put things into perspective, Abramovich is rich as F**k, however in relative terms to our potential new owners combined wealth he has to careful with his wealth as he only has $12.2 bn to play with.

Can you now confirm that at least two of the new owners are hedge fund managers or are you sticking with the original line that they aren’t?

are they? i think they were...but are they now? MSD doesnt act or behave like a hedge fund..its a structure more akin to a family office or private equity firm,,..

most media outlets covering sport think every sort of mutual fund is a hedge fund..

Nice thought - European headquarters in Sunderland, or for that matter, anywhere in Britain, but it will never happen unfortunately for straight forward business reasons ie money! BREXIT will leave us outside the Continental trading block and mean the company will face trade tariffs, in much the same way and for ONE of the main reasons it, and other companies, established operations and plants in main land China.
So are you forgetting the trade deal that the country has between Britain and USA the day after brexit that’s been reported the last week.

So you’re saying they will be no trade deal between uk and USA despite both leaders admitting that it’s going to happen the day after brexit.

not saying your wrong but that seems a bit counter intuitive for these types
