What happens if we do get promoted? Spend fuck all and prepare for a relegation battle?

Pointless

No. Then we buy players capable of winning the Championship, Steven. It's really not that hard a strategy to work out.

Do you honestly think signing players for massive fees on huge wages is a good idea given where we are?

I've seen at least two people imply we need to sign a new squad in January or sack Ross and get a new manager. Which is mental as if we don't want to keep Ross why would we give him loads of money?

We've had Wenger, mourinho etc mentioned as possibly managers. Aye, I'm making it up though.

Surely your not taken it seriously about Wenger, Mourinho?
No body else is.

he was dropped because he spoke his mind.. ross is a fcking disgrace... cant handle or manage what he has at his disposal.. hel be gone soon anyhow and good fcking riddance..
I’ve backed him all the way, maybe for too long ? But I have to admit he’s starting to grate on me now, and has done since half time at Ipswich.

Do you ever say anything positive about anything? We’re being taken over by some of the richest owners in football, and they aren’t going to let us sit in league 1. Just be happy the future is looking great and enjoy it ffs
Just put him on ignore like I did. It’s like a cloud lifting and the sun comes out.

We won't be able to have players on big wages in this league anyway, with the FFP or whatever it's equivalent is. The one thing I hope we do, in January if they put money forward for transfers, is to buy the best players in this league. Weakens them for a start and strengthens us too.

Not sure why people are taking mantobars post as fact.

As if these people are flying back and forth across the Atlantic, buying a club and making absolutely no changes.

Ross hasn't been seen since Peterborough and we have injuries, players away on international duty and a match less than a week away.

He waved a white flag in that game as far as I'm concerned.

If he isn't replaced I'll believe it's not for the lack of trying.

However, we don't even have anyone anywhere near capable of being a caretaker .... unless we have someone in place there's nothing we can do.

As an American, I can tell you as fact that it will be a long time...the majority of kids just don’t play it past 12yrs old. There’s ‘soccer fields’ everywhere over here, and it’s mostly girls or young boys...when they get to high school age, they switch over to more mainstream sports. The mainstream sports fans in the USA cannot stand the falling over and feigning injury everytime a player comes near them...when I say cannot stand it, I mean my older brother telling me to “turn this fuckin shit off” (PL matches) everytime we watch sports together  I think the world is safe for the foreseeable future.
Makes sense

If we're not going to be spending money the whole thing is a waste of time.

The new owners, imo, will replace Ross with someone who'll get us out of here.

Another season in this league and no money spent would leave us in a worse position than where we are now.

Of course they'll spend money.

Yes. But 5m would be an outrageous spend in Jan for this league, given out existing squad. I think some people are expecting us to spend that on individual players.

20-40m should ensure any competent manager gets you out of the Championship.

Then you can start to properly spend when you're in a league where those players are actually worth having and going to want to play, not just come for the cash. Been there, done that and it's the reason we are in this division to begin with.

The silence from Ross ,Donald and SAFC speaks for itself .

I've just been talking to my friend, Fabrizio Tonna, who's now back home in Lugano. He's very well connected in the States, UK, Russia, France, etc but has zero interest in football so lots of stuff bypasses him. But since all this kicked off he's tried to pay attention 'cos he likes me, loves a bit of intrigue and because other wealthy people are involved. It's a shame @Grumpy Old Man wasn't talking to him because a lot of the terminology is double Dutch to me and I know little about the big European clubs tbh.

Anyway, this appears to be the gist of what he's saying. He keeps banging on about PSG who were like Chelsea before Abramovic arrived. It appears Qatar wanted PSG for many other reasons than a love of football. It's actually to do with religious uncertainty, oil running out, etc. So they want other income, bolt holes and favourable influence in Europe.

He reckons our new overlords are keeping an eye on Brexit, our increased dependency on the States, the increased interest in football there and the effect Netflix has had. He doesn't know what involvement Dell has in broadcasting but says he wouldn't be surprised in they don't creep into TV rights for games over there.

He believes they'll appoint a club ambassador to pull everything together but that last bit is a guess from him, he's a smart fella so he might be right.

And that's it. If I wanted to make it all look more coherent and embellish it I could do but that's just a few snippets, I managed to glean, from an hour long conversation with someone who''s quite excitable, rambling and speaks in a heavy Italian accent. So, that's absolutely everything I can say .... please either take it or leave it but don't harangue me for meanings or details, that's really all I have.
Mama Maglione!!
