He's a subtle as a flying mallet, but you get what you see. But there are some desperately thin skins, others reacting because of his background, and, in some cases, a tendency to inverted snobbery.

Completely false retelling of history there I’m afraid.

“inverted snobbery” only started after a whole lot of actual snobbery from the posh twat himself. Do you recall his comments about our supporters?

he’s a condescending prick who has failed miserably. As such he’s not welcome.

getting out the violin and trying to pretend he’s the victim here is ridiculous and I’m embarrassed for you.

where did I say anything about being shareholders? Do you understand what agency means?

I would imagine most people who are buying an institution that depends upon and exists in large part for the community would not want to upset them on day one. Not the smartest idea to alienate your only potential customer base.

The point I was making, is that at the end of the day it's only the goodwill of the owner if he listens to any of the fans.

He has no obligation to do so.

If Stewie goes mad and decides he doesn't care about the money, there is nothing to legally stop him tearing the Club apart.

Which is why Wigan are/were in administration.

Its a struggle to think of what role he would have at the club. He's from a PR background, but has done little here, apart from trying to look like the tough guy on STID and alienate a lot of fans with his comments.

He's got a long road back to gaining any kind of relationship with some the fans, no matter whatever role it is. Give him the shite magazine you get with your season ticket to run....from down south, out of the way.

Fortunately it looks like he won’t be the owner much longer.

we as supporters should do anything we can to make sure the new owners aren’t led down the garden path to failure by the two chancers who have presided over the worst era in our history.

Lets just hope that the new owners, and or their managers get on this forum or the 606 and get a feel of our views on these scumbag chancers, and what has gone on for the last decade. Hopefully Jones will have told them straight of course.
Aye Jones will keep them right ,cant see what role cm could have really.

Erm, PR seems as that's his job?

He could easily do that without actually putting his name on anything.

I don't like the man but his main failings were when he gave interviews or public speaking. Things like the drive for boxing Day Vs Bradford actually was decent work.

If he can do the PR but without fans knowing he is actually doing it?

Tin hat on for daring to see how he could have a use

Absolutely right. And I think as it relates to us, Charlie is 100% one of them.

He knows that life is about convincing those with wealth to back him by talking a good game with such utter conviction that nobody questions whether he can fail.

Even Donald, let's face it, is someone who CM looks down on. In his mind, we're all Charlie's puppets, even those people who he relies on to feed this ego.

Meanwhile, as a PR guru, he has succeeded in doing nothing except alienating an entire fanbase. Bet that one won't go on the CV.
Obama on David Cameron having the "easy confidence of someone who’d never been pressed too hard by life."

If CM has any role, including bog cleaner, he won't get one. He'll be hounded from day one.

If this takeover happens, and it is as good as it potentially could be, you’d like to think the new owner(s) would be smart enough to know it would be a terrible start to it all if Methven was still seen and/or heard.
If he was totally in the background, but still had shares, I think supporters would live with that, IF the new lot have a plan and show early on they seem capable.

The thing I don’t really get is how someone with 6% stake and hasn’t put a load of money in can have such a say? Like really he should be pretty much insignificant. Even more surprising a new regime would allow him to have a prominent roll when its well documented that he’s pissed off nearly the whole fan base and to an extent the people who live in the area.
