Oh no, you don’t want those kidnappers, they will ask too much. I know someone much cheaper, they are slow and go round in circles, so won’t go too far either. They will be fucked after 70 minutes, and the pièce de résistance, is they will only take one kid and then sit back
How much of a ransom do you want? No, no you should ask us for more than that.

I suppose it depends on how much the buyer wants the club and how much Donald is sticking his feet in not to sell 100%.

80% and full control over a club you want or nothing at all.

Not saying that is the case as it's impossible to know but it's hardly incomprehensible.

Anyone buying a stake in the club should look at who is running it in reality and judge whether they should be replaced or not. Sick of the endless story of employing amateurs in key positions.

Until this happens we will continue to churn out the same dross on and off the pitch.

My personal favourite is 'Blotto'.
Stan and Oliver decide to go to a new night club during prohibition without telling the wives. Unfortunately Mrs.Hardy overhears their plan including them taking her last bottle of booze to drink under the table.
She substitutes the content for tea with various additions from the kitchen cupboard. They then convince themselves that they're pissed in the club. This 'drunken' scene is unsurpassed comic genius. They were the best there has ever been.
Is that so?

They were class with some great support acts too. Finlayson, doh!! , the hard nut and that bloke who was always pissed

Totally agree. With regards to Parkinson though, I think he will be gone by then.

I honestly don’t think a takeover is remotely close to happening. We don’t even know if league one will exist in a few months time given several clubs could go under, the whole hierarchy of English football could be different. Would be risky to purchase a football club in those conditions, also how will the club make money with no fans? Will fans even return in the same numbers a few years down the line? Many may call it a day, many won’t be in work anymore etc.

Give owa man.
The vaccine is coming.
We will be in the SoL soon enough waving Dinoman adios.
Think positive.

Presuming the virus called it a day tomorrow, the economic outlook isn’t good. Brexit and the suppression of the economy will lead to millions losing their jobs, regions like this will be hit the hardest. It’s going to be a Rocky few years even if the SOL could be full in a few months time. Many fans of working age may not be able to afford it, and in this league we risk losing a generation of fans. Would like to hope I’m wrong.

Same as with our incessant take over rumours I would not expect too many to go through in current climate

and any that did would be very very wary of them being chancers out to buy cheap invest sold all and get out when covid ends

You are, do yourself a favour and stop reading the Daily Mail.

When furlough ends millions will lose their jobs, as unfortunate as that is. In relation to our proposed takeover, that’s why I don’t think it will happen. Things are so unpredictable.

Yep. When covid ends things will be worse for many people. We will have freedom back but millions won’t be able to afford to go to a game. The North East will be badly impacted. Also at this level the league could grind to a halt if clubs can’t afford to play on. We are a very risky purchase, as are pretty much every football club, even business, at this time.

Yea altho I am a hammer through and through gillingham are my local club, I watch them a few times a season. Have mates that played for them and worry how long they can keep going

for you although maybe more season ticket salesor whatever imagine you also have higher maintenance costs on stadium and wages

surely they can let just maybe 10%-20% of fans in at forst

you be 5-10 seats away from next person and outdoors

safer than going pub or supermarket

Looks like it will be happening in tier’s 1 and 2. Sunderland probably 75% chance of being in tier 3 though

Would be all for every premier league club including my own setting up a fund for these clubs

seems crazy to include you in that by way

purely for wages and bills vital debts etc keeping clubs going etc on condition that anyone that uses the fund is not signing players as that will end up unfair

although at same time why is premier league having to do it? Nobody is demanding that Tesco’s support the local corner shops

This just goes on and on ! Getting desperate now, SD playing everyone and we are going f***ing nowhere
No one will buy a league one club in the current climate. The fact we have a massive stadium and huge potential is irrelevant given the competition we are playing in may not even fulfill its season (though people said a handful of clubs would already be out of business by now). Donald probably reads this board and laughs that we think this talk of a takeover is serious.

The government have a problem with football I think. Perhaps the Marcus Rashford campaign has rubbed them up the wrong way. They are saying the PL need to sort it but have blown billions on giving dodgy contracts to their grubby mates.
