Takeover News/Rumours

Its as simple as this - a better manager would have gone for the throat whilst we had Donny on the ropes on Saturday. We should have been out of sight, then if they score in the 93rd minute its nothing more than a consolation. You're going to seriously struggle to be promoted looking to win games 1-0 every week.

Then his approach and mentality to the MK Dons game the week before, its small time and its weak. We need someone that builds a Sunderland side that makes other managers change their style because of us when we play them. I don't think theres anyone in this league scared to play us home or away as it stands.
The second half was pathetic.

We were comfortable first half but if that wonder goal doesn’t go in (99% of the time it won’t) then we are at 0-0 with Doncaster likely to improve.

I can’t think of any real chances in the 2nd half. There was a curling effort from Gooch straight at the keeper but other than that we were doing nowt.

If it was tiredness then bring some fresh legs on, we’re permitted to make 5 changes but he only brings on someone on 75 mins & 90 mins. Could see the equaliser coming a mile off.

Just so negative.

Agree. What is he saying at HT? Obviously telling them to keep it tight. Okay, Doncaster were always going to come out swinging given how poor their first half was but surely you have to be saying continue where you left off?! Once you accept you're focused on solely defending your lead and your threat on the opposition goal disappears you're always going to be in trouble. I maintain we could have had the game boxed off after 70 mins if we kept at them but the insistance that we must keep it as tight as possible gave them all the hope they needed. At 1-0 all it takes is one little mistake, a moment of luck or a moment of quality and you lose two points. Third season in and this club hasn't learned that lesson yet.

I gave up watching us a couple of weeks back so didnt see the game but watched the highlights after I saw people saying we'd played well. It must just be how our expectations have been lowered because we had three or four attempts on goal, all of which were outside the area. We create absolutely fuck all. As you say we often look "comfortable" but the other side are probably saying the same. Not creating many chances but not hanging on either.

We can sign players. U21's are exempt for a start. We sould be scoureing the leagues looking for these anyway. The coming window allows us to resubmit our squad for the remaining games of the season. We can choose not to add players to the squad and they wouldn't count. Ex McGeady isn't in this squad but is still paid. We can offer players the low wage for L1 players with huge incentives like goal bonuses oer promotion bonus for this or next season. We can also loan players paying a loan fee instead of wages. Loads of ways around the ruling, just need the will and finance to do it.
Still need squad space though? Or am I wrong?

I'm slightly concerned that they're in no hurry. Not the best first impression.

I guess they may/could be identifying managerial and player recruitment targets already but their people won't have access to any databases the club may already have (I know!) and the sooner they're in the more chance there is of them being proactive with it all rather than reactive.

Nito dispiritio defuckingsantos or wharriver he's called lent us sanderson and we play an attacking midfielder / right back at left CB whilst he warms his hairy arse on the bench.
right on marrer- exactly as I (and all the rest of us) thought at the time

It's got to be a bit of a concern especially when the one apparently leading the takeover is already one of our owners.

If I were a manager there is no way I’d loan any of my players to us. I’m assuming the idea of loaning players is to get them competitive playing time and with that experience. It’s been proved beyond reasonable doubt that won’t happen with the person being paid to manage our first team.
