Takeover News/Rumours

Did the board tell CM to clear off? The public story was that he resigned of his own accord.

One thing that is odd, is that we still haven't appointed a new chairman 3 months after Donald 'resigned'.

There is always a chance. But its unlikely whilst the owner thinks he has more to gain by keeping the club solvent and can afford to do so.

I have thought about this from the “other side” of the “Takeover conundrum“.
The general consensus is that SD is holding out for his alleged £37ish million and is having difficulty finding a buyer who will give what he asks.
Whilst I am aware there are conditions attached to the FPP “loan” and that the loan is secured against our assets, could we have a situation where our potential suitors are squeezing the owner by sitting back and calling his bluff? Hence this prolonged “sale period”?
The possibility of knowing the Club is, or could be, dependant upon SD financing current operating costs from his own limited resources and knowing this, are prepared to wait until that resource runs out and Administration becomes a real possibility or, God forbid, actually happens. If either of these scenarios happen, the Club’s value will be much reduced and a change of ownership could happen on the purchaser’s terms rather than the current owners?

Good points in general, but it's not in Madrox interests for that to happen, so very much doubt it will.

If Donald has been made a genuine offer for the club, and if he really is interested in selling, then he should take it. It is the highest it will ever be for him. Time for him to ditch the ego or lose even more cash.

I did think that no fans till March scenario actually favoured the buyers.
From what I was picking up was SD was using MG consortium as a back up and bartering tool, the problem being he fucked that up and they have walked away for good.
Now that leaves Donald with just one interested party who know with no fans Donald will not have the resources to fund the club so they are now in the driving seat and have Donald over a barrel

I reckon he had sold is now under the asking price, with bonus clauses for promotions...we will be paying him and short forever

Ah think ye are going to announce the new chairperson marra. That skeleton is going to put mare weight on every day until we see Stewy, in a t-shirt with Chairperson. I have awoken. Plastered across it, bit like when the new kits were revealed.

Damn, ah've ruined it, marra.
The secret is out. 😁😁

Evening. Have not checked in for a while. Had an interesting message this morning and got round to it now. Things still progressing and a 'hurdle' has been completed and things looking much better now. No idea what the hurdle is BTW.

Hopefully not too long.

KTF.

The idea that it is some unnamed American investors is a thousand times more plausible than it being a weird mix of Fuhrman, Sartori and the Russian, and that a fella on not606 is fed info by someone at the club and is told when he's allowed to publish said info when we all need a cheer up. Oh, and that the source is Fox. Deary me

You mean its not true? 😭

Totally agree with this, but delusional people don’t think rationally, that’s why we all should be worried about our FC’s future, if he stays as owner.
