Johnson's two and a half year contract means Cowley must have been wanting at least three and a half years. I could see them seeing that as insufficiently ambitious if he thought he needed that long.
You use that phrase when you can't name your source.

Yes, you are correct I think. Johnson was the last on my list as he has such an underwhelming track record - if they want quick results Johnson needs to massively on his career to date which is a strange premise to base an appointment on. Lets hope Im wrong.

Thats probably unfair on them but I felt almost as underwhelmed with Johnson as I did with Parkinson. I do accept that Johnson is a better prospect than PP but if you are targetting promotion as your priority then I dont understand why you go for Johnson. If Cowley was happy to work with a DOF then its a mistake for me. But thats gone now.

I think we will come to regret the decision of appointing Johnson ahead of Cowley.
However it is what it is and we have to get behind the club.

The fact KLD interviewed for both positions and neither of them two should tell you all you need to know. The fact that KLD has been hands on is good news imo, and i suspect we’ll see that when the announcement is eventually made
