Have i missed anything? 3 hours and no comment on the takeover thread......come on itk gizz an update!... the silence is deafening.

It is what it is mate. Telling for me that he had reservations on the time on offer to meet the objectives, means that the new owners will want results quickly.

Johnson's two and a half year contract means Cowley must have been wanting at least three and a half years. I could see them seeing that as insufficiently ambitious if he thought he needed that long.
The Echo understands and not one quote in that article, pure speculation.

You use that phrase when you can't name your source.

Yes, you are correct I think. Johnson was the last on my list as he has such an underwhelming track record - if they want quick results Johnson needs to massively on his career to date which is a strange premise to base an appointment on. Lets hope Im wrong.

Could be a big big mistake by the new owners and they havent taken over yet.
Thats probably unfair on them but I felt almost as underwhelmed with Johnson as I did with Parkinson. I do accept that Johnson is a better prospect than PP but if you are targetting promotion as your priority then I dont understand why you go for Johnson. If Cowley was happy to work with a DOF then its a mistake for me. But thats gone now.

I think we will come to regret the decision of appointing Johnson ahead of Cowley.

However it is what it is and we have to get behind the club.

Opportunity missed though.
