Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Found these few things that give a very small insight. Not much to go on but doesn't look quite the disaster on this score that Parky was

There is a very real possibility that Cowley’s Skyboy / football started in 1993 / new age manager/ metropolitan elite / 4th dimension shtick is all just a con-artist trick and the club could be in for “the Sting”.

At the end if the day some ITKs are just narcissistic.
Providing info is more about how they want us to feel about them and not so much about about the veracity of the info.
It’s fairly easy to spot particularly when they are challenged as they are more likely to turn on those not playing along.
Similarly narcissists often seem kind to people or go out of their way to help or praise others, again it’s a way of ingratiating themselves and their status.

all of this comes through in their posts, so not so much what they say but how and when they say it.

Theres not a cat in hells chance that the new owners would go for Cowley.

If that’s who it is, The takeover is bound to be a redistribution of shares with Rodwell and whichever knacker sporting director hes managed to get calling the shots.

This was the perfect time for a clean slate and to break away from the current shitshow.

The appointment of the manager is going to be the biggest indicator of how this new ‘regime’ is going to operate.

There is time for them to prove us wrong but i won’t hold my breath.

I'd fully believe that Poyet would go along with the idea of a DoF in the early stages only to shithouse for full control at the 11th hour, mind. That's just his nature.

He never convinced on the subject of DoFs on @MackeminGlasgow's podcasts IMO.

I'm not saying you're wrong but he's worked with them everywhere he's been whereas the Cowley's have openly said they don't want to and left a job over the issue.

Something's amiss if they get the job imo.

Time for them to grow some balls, fast approaching a month since Donald et al deflected attention from themselves and this fiasco is now looking all too similar

I don’t think telling folk involved with RAWA to ‘grow some balls’ is a fair comment, but I definitely agree that something needs to be pushed over the coming week or so.
I’d personally like to see some real fan pressure applied to the current owners. Make them feel uncomfortable as possible.
Not sure how we can do this though.

He doesn’t want to work with a DoF or anyone of that ilk.
If that is the case then it’s back to front thinking. The Sporting Director/Director of Football should be the man responsible for identifying and appointing a manager to carry out the job in his mould. If we had appointed Poyet who we know plays a patient possession based game and a week later appointed a DoF like Phil Parkinson who was responsible for signing the players and establishing a philosophy throughout the club, it just wouldn’t f***ing work.

They need to be on the same wave length as the DoF will be responsible for identifying players to play within a system he sets out with the manager there to coach them.

So for me, appoint a DoF first off, then let him appoint his manager to implement his plan.

Yup, i think it’s past time for us taking action somehow.

I think the Cowley’s are willing to take the chance because it’s Sunderland.

Starting off on completely the wrong foot there imo. Their philosophy is that they have full control. The club has decided it wants a SpD.

Someone is not going to be operating the way they want to and it's a recipe for disaster. Obey the "Football Bible".....unless the job is a big one that you haven't proven yourself for in which case sack it off?

Would it be possible to get enough names on a petition of sorts that state if things aren't resolves by mid-December to a point of satisfaction (new majority share holder, new management structure) those listed will demand season ticket refunds en masse?

Don't know if that could/would work, just an idea.

RAWA were invited to the meeting, representing their members, they meekly accepted a line about the takeover being close. They never questioned it nor did they give timescales for deferral, it was “OK just let us know when we can have a meeting”. They have since wasted a further 3 weeks and we are no further forward off the field than we were back then. RAWA should have been demanding a new date for the EFL required meeting.
the rest I agree with

think a petition won’t achieve much- needs to be something tangible

It’s not ideal like. I was just thinking as we can’t stay away from games at the moment, that might be an action which makes some impact.

I’d imagine they’re already struggling and a threat that thousands of people ask for refunds, costing them tens of thousands of pounds, may hold some away.

I think that second idea is good, something that will impact the club directly. Boycott of the club shop etc.
