Nor were Wycombe. Not convinced Rotherham were either.
I agree RE Wycombe but Rotherham would have been fine for at least play offs. We'd played 2 more games than a couple. We weren't going up.

Lot of anger in there it seems, going to watch SAFC in the third tier was never gonna calm you down....They were two of the most miserable hate filled people I’ve ever heard in my life. Ended up getting into an argument with them so just moved seats. Couldn’t be arsed with their shite every week.
Spot on. Sensible rational forward thinking business and football decisions needed. Actions not spin. Don’t mind them PRing some positives just not arrogant smooth talking bullshite a la MethvenThings don’t have to be black or white like.
It’s fair to be happy there is imminent change. I’ve had a few snippets from @prehab26 via PM and it’s all been on the money. Hopefully it will result in big sweeping changes from top to bottom.
That of course doesn’t need to then stop you remaining naturally sceptical about the current owners retaining involvement. It’s a case of once bitten; twice shy so you’ve got to be able to understand both points of view.
All this little sniping at each other is nee good like but we need to be more pragmatic when the new owners are known. Hopefully they are professional enough to not need to nip round the tavern for a pint to get people onside and we can judge them by their immediate actions not some empty words on a fan podcast or because they allowed fans a selfie.

Every reasonable sized company on the planet uses PR of some sort.A company that needs PR isn’t doing it right in the first place and lacks a conscience.

Be funny to watch the people who said JR runs the show and appointment would be underwhelming and a sham.
Nah.
All wrong.
This. There's a couple on here.I’ve seen it a number of times in life, a lot of people would rather be right than happy.
Lot of anger from me?
If it's Poyet, I certainly wouldn't class it as underwhelming as he'd probably give the club the biggest lift out of all the candidates mentioned so far.
For me though there's still question marks around how much he could get out of this current squad, particularly with limited room to manoeuvre in JanF. I think the SpD is the more important appointment right now, do you think it's likely that they'll be announced together or is one further along than the other?
The Brighton team he took over were absolutely shocking. He turned them around. If it's Poyet, I certainly wouldn't class it as underwhelming as he'd probably give the club the biggest lift out of all the candidates mentioned so far.

you could makle the same argument for appointing Pep. Still is a top appointment regardless. If it's Poyet, I certainly wouldn't class it as underwhelming as he'd probably give the club the biggest lift out of all the candidates mentioned so far.

He could probably get game even now!Poyet is a winner and a cut above league one!The Brighton team he took over were absolutely shocking. He turned them around.
Loads of us been angry mate, its been a shit show for too long, can only hope things will get better soon for us all....Lot of anger from me?
That applies to whoever comes in probably
Yes it does but to varying degrees. Although Poyet has won promotion from this league before, I find it highly unlikely he's been keeping tabs on the division and will know the players and playing styles of the teams in the league. He'd need to be brought up to speed on our squad and the attributes of certain players, which could cost us points during that transition period as he learns about the squad.
You could argue that someone like Cook with more recent experience of the division and having worked with players in the squad before would be better suited to the immediate task in hand, though i'll admit that was part of the logic behind the Parkinson apppointment. Poyet probably a better long term shout but I think would take a bit longer to get results this season. The good thing is that he'd be afforded more time than most and would give the club a big lift.
Depends on his back room staff. If he got someone like Catts in as a coach, or offer Grant a player/coach job, he could use them as a sounding board. I think he's bright enough to know what he'll need.
