Didnt lequpie say dreyfus was using an agency to appoint a sporting director? Therefore that wouldnt be methven
They’ll presumably present candidates rather than having final say on who is appointed. We don’t know who’ll get that say.
You’d expect KLD wouldn’t cede entirely to Methven on the decision.

Stop it with this shite Grumps. If it’s being reported by national journalists it’s entirely appropriate for Safc fans to be concerned at the ongoing prominent involvement of such a pronounced gobshite and perennial failure.
Its also be reported in national and international publications that Dreyfus had initiated a recruitment process for a new Sporting Director who will be the major influence in the club. If we believe that it simply has to be a positive.

It's more this representation of him as some kind of Svengali masterminding everything, which is kind of disconnected from the more accurate portrayal of him as a marginally successful businessman. Fuck's sake, he can't be both.

Misrepresnting people’s concerns a bit there.

I don’t think anyone sees him as a Svengali, he’s not that talented.

It’s more a case of him being a useless knacker who got his claws into our club for very little financial outlay and now won’t let go. We are stuck with him it seems, at least until he insults the fans again and has to pretend to step down, again.

I don't think anyone's doing that at all. We're discussing whether or not he'll be given a role at the club and according to one journalist and by the looks of it Prehab too he will be. When has anyone said he's masterminding the thing?

There have been numerous comments about Dreyfus being under his thumb. I don't believe for one minute Methven will be running the show, though he might be prominent on the sales and marketing side again. For what it's worth, I believe that him npt being involved would be best for all concerned.

ED.....continued from this thread

Some are getting too obsessed with CM remaining.

The sporting director will be running everything that's important for us, performance, recruitment and team matters etc. That's the key appointment.

Any word on if they have come to a decision about the SD and who it will be, when the take over goes through or are they still interviewing?

I hadnt noticed that, probably dafties I've got on ignore.

I wouldnt have thought he'd be running things but that seems to be the suggestion from Nixon and from Prehab's comments it looks like he does have some role. While I dont think he'll have Sartori or KFD under his thumb I think his word will carry weight with JS at the very least, hence him getting a job. He definitely shouldnt have an active role.

Nixon saying
Dreyfus and sartori will both have 40 percent each. Who will make the decisions if thats the case?

Possibly this odd idea of directors reaching a consensus. You know, the way it used to be done when football was sensible. More seriously, the decisions will be made by the SD, and the only thing the owners will need to agree will be funding, and whether we need a new SD.

Again, would feel more positive if KLD had 50+%

I worry about Sartori having a big stake, AND CM staying on. Smacks of them using this as a way to keep control but give an illusion of change. Suppose that depends on the state of the relationship between JS and CM which we can only speculate about.

It's all getting a bit QAnon at times.

Really?

A prominent journalist, who as it happens, clearly had some accurate information about the takeover, hints that Methven will have a 'strong' role in the new bid, which as far as I've seen has not been contradicted by any of the ITK's, and you think we should not be concerned about Methven coming back into a more hands on role with the club?
