Takeover in trouble

Because I'm getting a lot of grief over it.
You said a while ago that many on here are ‘as thick as castle walls’ which is very true, you are trying to help those of us (majority I would think) who are not trained to make sense of balance sheets and financial nuances. If the keyboard warriors can’t understand that ignore them. Not worth stressing about, don’t make yourself ill about it.

It don't take a weatherman to know which way the wind blows...
Takes a metereologist to forecast which direction though

Relax, its pre season and folk like to stress over anything, and ridicule anything generally. Including new signings who aint even laced a boot up yit.

Cant wait me...........Haway the lads.

He’s retired iirc, and recently had a stroke I’m sure he posted.

God knows why he puts himself up for the grief he gets on here!

Agreed. I think that's a very good point and something people should be very careful about. GOM is a fan who, given his background, has obviously liked getting the opportunity to discuss SAFC finances with the club, and has tried to put the discussion in terms that other fans can understand. He's given his expertise free of charge and has clearly stated when things are just his opinion.

He seems happy answering questions etc, just as well since there's still lots of questions! Any kind of personal abuse, or snidey comments about agendas etc is well out of order though. Poor bloke has recently had health problems and the last thing he needs is knackers on a message board griefing him and causing stress when all he's doing is trying to help. The fact he's said he didn't sleep well last night suggests he takes a lot of this to heart. Some need to just think on before posting.

I can’t understand the criticism of him personally. Most club message boards would give their right bollock for someone with a bit brains who can look at the numbers (whether good or bad) and try and explain them

Without GOM a lot of us would be in the dark on the finances of the club I for one appreciate the time and effort he puts into. To all the idiots who question his motives I would simply ignore them or tell them to get lost.

GOM is a blessing to this forum and even if you disagree with him on various matters you should respect his right to his opinion, which is probably worth more than most of ours

1 there's no need for the personal attacks mate, they just ramp up the discussion into an argument that means nothing gets discussed.
It's also a pretty shit way to accuse GOM of having an agenda.

2 did they disprove the allegation that SD was using SAFC money to pay off his personal debts?

3 were you wrong?

1 It's not a personal attack. I was just suggesting that when we're in person, it's easy to be charmed, even if we're wary. GOM is probably aware of this himself and has acknowledged that he has to be careful about what he says to maintain any kind of relationship (whether he still wants it or not is anyone's guess!). He is a good egg and hey, where I come from licking arse is barely an insult.

2 No, not disproven. There are still huge unknowns as GOM says, and sometimes what is not said, or how some things are said, is grating when trying to forensically understand where the money is, was and will be.

3 I don't know. Nobody does. I am asking the questions, providing an interpretation. We may literally never know depending on how Madrox file their accounts and what we're able to class as 100% fact, which is inordinately difficult with these people.

Because I'm getting a lot of grief over it.

Stick them on ignore GOM, they’re not worth it.

99% of posters on here really appreciate the time and effort you put into explaining these things to us. If the odd few don’t like your contributions then they can simply ignore you or look into the figures themselves.
