I know it doesn't', and I never said it did but I think Donald is in trouble though personally, and I think without new investors the club is in trouble

I don't believe a lot of his spin personally, I hope I am wrong and he has some great unbelievable plan but I just can't see it. Thats the issue, you are taking everything he says as gospel, I am not.

the parachute payments has been misleading, not sure how anyone can deny that, he will claim its miscommunication

but for someone who made PR the number 1 priority, it seems unlikely doesn't it?

Well this is part of the issue, if he only had the finance for 2 seasons for example, I dont think thats responsible and I don't think its someone who should be buying Sunderland for example

Unless the finances are in the dire straits that people are claiming (ie having to scramble a couple of hundered thousand here and a couple of hundred thousand there) then I was far more fussed about getting the right people ie Park on board with the right football know how than I was about someone coming in with financial clout.

It seems almost inconceivable that the finances could be in such dire straits. I can’t see how we won’t be making a profit this year.

Agreed entirely but he appears to be linked to this Campbell fella, it would be welcome news if he's independent and is coming on board irrespective.

Paper profit, yes, as parachute payments included as income even when they've been loaned out

Potential for big cash issues though if those payments were loaned out though

Every report I’ve read had him linked to Campbell, if that’s dead then I’d say the chances of Park coming in are too.

Loaned out? Even without parachute payments we shouldn’t be in huge financial difficulties although it might make it more difficult to sign players.
It would also make the owners downright liars given a month ago they were saying we were in the best financial shape in the football league.

Donald said they were loaned out and being put back in incrementally - if Donald doesn't have the cash flow currently to put them in as the club needs them that's where the problems arise

Yes but they don't come all at once so if there's money due out now and the next payment doesn't cover what they need there's an issue
