T20 World Cup 2024

I know Afghanistan are a decent team nowadays but it's not so long ago they were going through lots of qualifiers to get to the final stages of tournaments, and regularly getting a thrashing when they did get there. This is why I'm glad the tournament has been extended, another 12-20 years and it could be the USA, Nepal or Oman in the semi finals.

100%

T20 is obviously such a short format that it allows for these results, you are right tho, Nepal seem most likely long term

If Afghanistan can just get a few middle order players they’ll be a real force

Can’t stop watching this

Trott is just saying slow down, Gulbadin must just panic and hit the deck, full blown football dive, it’s brilliant

What a game, Afghanistan thoroughly deserved that, bizarre how Bangladesh seemed to give up trying to win in 12 overs so early.
Bye bye Aussies
It was bizarre, over 40 runs from overs 11 and 12 was a big ask, but giving up a chance to make the semi final to go for an easier but meaningless win instead?
They started actively playing for singles in the 11th over!
I suspect it would have been different if they needed over 40 runs from overs 19 and 20 to make a semi.
