T20 World Cup 2024

Well they did, they were off just long enough to reset the target to a 19 over one. But I think the point is that it would’ve made no major difference whether Bangladesh were just behind or just ahead at the rain break, because the game got played to a more or less normal finish anyway. It didn’t end at that point on DLS.

Yeah sorry kind of what I meant

You’re right tho

Why is there a reserve day for one semi final but not the other one?
Someone contact the Indian betting commission
Worse than the Tories ITK these boys

Champions trophy is being hosted by one of bccis neighbours next year. Big heads are saying nah we not playing there, we play where we fancy......The other nations saying fuck all. How can we stop this BS?

We've been on the slippery slope for a while now imo. Money trumping basically everything. Its becoming more notiable of late however that "they" are being more breazen with every turned cheek or sport wash comiitted. What can we do in the land of the blind with the one eyed king getting ready to be anointed?

One is a night match. Both have 250mins extra, but because its a night match it starts the next day. Still stinks as its more likely weather will change over night than during the extra allotted time backed onto the day game

Not as much as you'd think. I've been to St Lucia at this time of year and the rain comes at the same time every day and lasts about half an hour, clears and dries up. Different islands will have slightly different microclimates but it's not like rain here.

The forecast has improved, locals confident there will be a full game atm
Utter carnage Afghanistan 23-5 after 5 overs.
28/6
Mini revival then Illingworth gives too borderline umpires calls in three balls (both just clipping) to reduce them to 50/8
*two
50/9
56 all out, a rained off game would be more entertaining

Saffers not getting their own way here like, obviously they will get them, but the wicket looks to be tricky.

They've had a nice run but Afghanistan should never have reached the semi final. I can't feel sorry for Australia going home but what a semi that would have been.

Hopefully this stupid and overcomplicated tournament format can now be torn from the BCCI's Big Book of Brilliant Ideas and consigned to the bin.

Cricinfo seems to think it's 10 overs per side needed, but hopefully the weather holds up so we get the full game in
Looking at BBC forecast they should be playing in the evening Guyana time, looks dry all evening and night. Fixing playing hours to suit Disney and Indian authorities for prime time in Mumbai is a nonsense as we all know. There's a reason tours to the Indies are in our winter and the WIndies come here in our summer, it's the climate out there.

It is a load of bollocks but unfortunately cricket is in a position where we need India and Indian fans to always be heavily invested, and unfortunately most indians won't understand why we shouldn't cater to them - just look at comments under any ICC / england cricket instagram posts.
