T20 World Cup 2024

Heard Mark Wood is injured again
Not even surprising.

I do find the lets retire Jimmy and look to the future stuff a bit unfair. When Woakes is 35 and Wood 34.

One can't play away from home and the other gets injured twice a year. Whereas Jimmy isn't impacted by either problem.

Woody is my favourite sport person probably ever. So I'll happily see him keep playing for England and hope he's not crocked again.

To be fair, I didn’t think Wood and/or Archer were part of the ‘future planning’ either.

I hope I'm proved wrong but not feeling too confident for this one. Livingstone and Woods injured and questions over Archers fitness plus prep seems poor again.

"But before they travel on 31 May, Mott and Buttler have just three matches against Pakistan to put into practice what they have discussed over WhatsApp and video calls while the skipper was away at the Indian Premier League".

Interesting that Bairstow ‘great lad etc’ put on a barbecue for the squad on Sunday night - that should cement his place for a few more weeks.

Just wish they’d prefer professionally and properly with more than 4 warm ups planned

Aye top level sports teams pick players because they are one of the lads, nothing to do with him being one of our best white ball players ever.

Just seen pictures from practice at Cardiff Woods left knee was heavily and he was not exactly bowling full force in a the couple of deliveries it showed.
