He does state that he wishes to give youngsters,presumably Minto and Robinson,experience which is to be applauded. They wouldn't get much opportunity if we had an overseas bowler,e.g. Olivier as well as Raine and Potts and spinners Sowter, Parki, Drissell and Ghafari. Sound decision imo

Seem to remember they saying in the past Bedders was available for T20 then he appeared.

Then why did they bring him in and then not play him in the County Championship

Good question. Campbell said the plan initially was to rest Raine but given that the Worcester game finished a day early and Raine bowled very little in their 2nd innings he was preferred instead of Olivier. Campbell also advised Stokes not to play but Stokes insisted. All in Campbell 's end of Kent match interview.
 
I'd rather have Olivier in the side than Stokes.

I don't think he'll play for us anymore this season though so Olivier should come straight in the next CC game.
 
The bookies have us as favourites for the opening game, which I can only think is down to our start to the season because historically we’ve been terrible at this format.

Derbyshire at 13/10 seems like great value.

Yet we haven't got through last few years and derby are generally worse
