T20 Blast 2026

Outplayed today. Got Northants and Lancs before we go back to the red ball stuff, will need to win one of those if we want to make the top 2.

Was watching him the other night. Surely the batsmen are well within their right to pull away when Tariq stops and pauses at the crease before he bowls.
When he was playing for Pakistan or might’ve been the PSL the other month someone did it a few times. I actually think the batsmen ended up getting a telling off.

Quote from our soon to be departing leader in his T20 preview
"now is the right time to continue investing in our young players to give them meaningful opportunities in the T20 side to accelerate their development.”
Same old faces,same old consequences.

I've said many times before, T20 is a lottery and depends as much on luck as skill.

Shots we played we're going to fielders and shots they played were going to boundaries.

One thing I noticed was that we bowled too short at times and the way to play this format is to take the pace off the ball. That was the difference between the two sides.

Not luck just playing better on the day

That's true but swift fielding, good throwing and catching are skills we need to improve on. "The more you practise, the luckier you get".

The scary thing is back to back drubbings yet same 11 selected and no doubt same 11 next game.

Been out of both games after 6 overs with the bat but not much pressure on the players playing as other options are young lads.

So far the Blast has been similar to the CC this year. Its hard to predict any result. Teams that look shite go and win and teams that look strong get thumped the next game. Kent got mullered on Friday and then massacred Surrey today.

Durham are sitting in a good position so far. Its not all doom and gloom but the last two results have been disappointing.
