Swindon Town 25/26 thread

Fuck off clogging the board up, with your Bumpkin Banter bollix.

Joking apart, I hope you're looking after yasel & hopefully, life is treating you as well as it possibly can, for a Swindon fan. 😉

Good luck for tomorrow at Walsall, and best wishes for a successful & entertaining season of football. 👍

You will always be made welcome again mate and hope you have a cracking one as well.
Hope you are keeping well. Still look back with fondness on that weekend up in Gods Country.
How’s that striker got on in preseason then? I took notice of your first few friendlies and he seemed to be doing ok? What’s the hopes on him this season?

Has Holloway got the team to continue how you finished last season? I went through a few seasons of backing you to get promoted a few year back but stopped when I seen you post about all the off-field issues. I’m tempted to go with you again in the morning though…

It’s a massive step up and Holloway is a wily old fox. Not played the last few games and can’t see him starting. He likes to have plenty of forwards.
Probably the less churn of players we have had for years and keeping the manager is ground breaking for us. Just can’t help liking Holloway and the passion he has.
The players love him.
Off field issues still continue but hearing things are moving in the right direction fairly quickly.🤞
Saw a few of your fans in Weymouth on Saturday after your defeat.

That was the Youth side in fairness as the first team played Eastleigh.

We’ve got your young defender on loan, Tom Wilson-Brown.
Can only hope he gets a decent run out and is useful.

Well here we go again.
In an attempt not to piss off a few I promise to abide by keeping all things Swindon to this thread.
Notwithstanding just ignore if you desire.

In typical Swindon fashion plenty going on:

Tomorrow we start the campaign on the road with a trip to Walsall. Taking over 2,200 fans so should be a good atmosphere and all in support of the Holloway factor. Sold over 1,000 tickets already for our away Cup tie to Cardiff. Travelling tomorrow by train thus looking forward to a few 🍺🍺.

Off the field dare we believe. Our stand redevelopment was stopped in its tracks by the fans vote, a debatable no and fingers up to the Aussie Plumber that he is not fit for purpose in taking this club forward.
Not only this but real promise is gathering on not a case of “if” but “when” we finally rid the club of these incompetent wrong uns. Hoping he takes what is in the table as going legal will only slow down the inevitable. The day he and his cronies are gone will be a promotion winning feeling.

On the field we have secured almost the same side that Holloway took from the bottom to just failing short of a play off. In addition we have signed a few and confidence is high. What possibly could go wrong, this after all is Swindon where something negative is always around the corner.
All eyes on Jake Tabor the non league hot shot signed from Amersham way down the football pyramid. The next Charlie Austin? Only time will tell and a big step up. Billy Bodin (Son of the legendary Paul) has pledged his final season to his local club, all those years when Di Canio pushed him out.

Holloway has done a terrific job in bringing in players that want to be part of the Club and play for him.
The one and only bright spark in a sea of shite.
MK Dons in my opinion will take some stopping however we are more than capable of going one step better and a play off should be minimum. All hope though first around the ownership.

Here we go again .
All the best for the season Swindon
You have the majority on here with you

Good luck with the new season Marra.... There but for the grace of God etc....

My first ever Sunderland game was against Swindon at home, we missed 2 penalties & lost 1-0

My dad's Swindon supporting mate came with us & openly celebrated both misses in the Clock Stand paddock! We were mortified but there was no bother.

I've had a soft spot for Swindon ever since. Best of luck marra 👍

Great thread Swindon lad, best wishes for this season, and the future for you and the supporters, BTW, great turnout for Walsall, good luck.

All the best for the season marra.
I might even get around to gracing you with my presence for a match as our away tickets are going to be like rocky horse shite this season.

Good Luck for the season. Ups & downs aplenty in a football season due but get some consistency and Swindon will be well in with a promotion shout. MK are there to be shot at, they'll also have an eye on your lot based on form since IH came in.
