Swindon Town 25/26 thread


Well there we go in typical Swindon style.
Large vocal following, against 10 men, soft penalty given to us and still lose.

Always the serial disappointment.
Early days of course but that was woeful.
Pre match beers the usual highlight.

Not a good first result; re: BBC report Swindon had the bulk of the play but the words used were "stolen victory". Breaking teams down as they set up to defend looks like it could be a frequent experience for you this season. As you know it's all about putting the ball in the net. Next few games will give a better picture and first game is never a good insight. See what (if anything) IH alters in the next game(s), you'll be among the top teams as the season develops. Most sides will concentrate on stifling you.

Understand a seat was thrown. Equally some unsavoury behaviour against some decent Walsall fans after the game. Not needed.

First game of the season is notorious for that, the pressure & self-expectation of a side with your recent form is responsible. Plus, other teams raise their game-intensity against favourites if they want to be in the final-mix or to get points on their board. Olly will settle your lot down.

Swindon Town will not tolerate any conduct that endangers the safety of others or damages the reputation of our football club.

We remain grateful to the overwhelming majority of our supporters who continue to follow the team in the right way and uphold the values we stand for.

We urge all fans to play their part in maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all our matches ā€” home or away.
